Evaluación de quitosano sobre el nematodo nodulador (meloidogyne spp) en el cultivo de tomate (solanum lycopersicum)

spa:La enfermedad del Nudo Radical causada por Meloidogyne spp., es una de las limitantes para la producción de tomate (Solanum lycopersicum L.), su manejo se realiza combinando prácticas de cultivo, así como, prácticas genéticas, biológicas y químicas, con limitantes como la escasa disponibilidad de materiales genéticamente resistentes, uso ineficiente de controladores biológicos y alto riesgo de contaminación medioambiental y toxicidad para humanos. En este sentido, una de las macrotendencias de la agricultura a nivel mundial es diseñar sistemas de cultivos más amables con el ambiente que utilicen métodos sostenibles de manejo de plagas y enfermedades, que sean innovadoras y competitivas. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio es contribuir al Manejo Integrado del Nematodo del Nudo Radical (Meloidogyne spp.) en tomate (Solanum spp.) mediante el uso de quitosano, considerado una molécula biodegradable, biocompatible, con capacidad antimicrobiana; y con estimulación de los mecanismos de defensa de las plantas. Se evaluó quitosano de bajo peso molecular en dosis de 1,0 - 1,5 – 2,0 mg.ml-1, aplicado edáfica y foliarmente, sobre plantas de tomate, bajo condiciones de campo en un sistema de siembra semicontrolada, las variables evaluadas fueron, número de flores, número de frutos en planta y cosechados, peso de frutos cosechados, rendimiento, severidad de la enfermedad y población de nematodos. Los tratamientos se distribuyeron en un diseño experimental completamente al azar, en un arreglo factorial. Se encontró que en el genotipo IAC 1687 el tratamiento de mayor respuesta en términos de rendimiento y disminución de la población fue 2,5 mg/ml de quitosano aplicado de manera edáfica, con valores de 10,9 ton/ha en comparación con el agua sin nematodos obtuvo 2,8 ton/ha superior y una población de 3928 nematodos en 100 g de suelo en comparación con el testigo de agua con nematodos obtuvo un 85,2 % inferior. Para el genotipo LA 2076 el tratamiento de mayor respuesta en la variable rendimiento fue la aplicación foliar de quitosano a 2,0 mg/ml con 7 ton/ha en comparación con el testigo de quitosano comercial obtuvo 0,9 ton/ha mas y el de mayor respuesta en población de nematodos fue el tratamiento de 1,5 mg/ml aplicado de manera foliar con un total de 4049 nematodos en 100 g de suelo en comparación con el testigo de quitosano comercial obtuvo 46,2% menor. Para el genotipo T.Resistente en términos de rendimiento el tratamiento de mayor respuesta fue el de 2,0 mg/ml aplicado de manera edafica con 8,8 ton/ha comparado con el testigo de agua sin nematodos obtuvo 4,3 ton/ha mas, para la variable población de nematodos en 100g de suelo el tratamiento de mayor respuesta fue quitosano 2,5 mg/ml de manera foliar con 4301 nematodos en 100g de suelo, para el genotipo T.Susceptible en términos de rendimiento el de mayor respuesta fue el tratamiento de quitosano 2,0 aplicado de manera edafica con 3,8 ton/ha comparado con el testigo de agua sin nematodos obtuvo 1,9 ton/ha adicionales y en términos de población nematodos sobre 100g de suelo el tratamiento de mayor respuesta fue la aplicación foliar de quitosano 2,0 mg/ml comparado con el testigo de quitosano comercial obtuvo 66,9 % menor.

Low molecular weight chitosan was evaluated in doses of 1.0 - 1.5 - 2.0 mg.ml-1, applied edaphically and foliarly, on tomato plants, under field conditions in a semi-controlled planting system, the variables evaluated were the number of flowers, number of fruits on the plant and harvested, weight of harvested fruits, yield, severity of the disease and population of nematodes. The treatments were distributed in a completely randomized experimental design, in a factorial arrangement. It was found that in the IAC 1687 genotype the treatment with the greatest response in terms of yield and population reduction was 2.5 mg/ml of chitosan applied edaphically, with values of 10.9 ton/ha compared to water. without nematodes obtained 2.8 ton/ha higher and a population of 3928 nematodes in 100 g of soil compared to the water control with nematodes obtained 85.2 % lower.
