VALORACIÓN SOCIOCULTURAL DE SERVICIOS ECOSISTÉMICOS URBANOS EN EL PARQUE JUAN PABLO II DE LA CIUDAD DE CHIQUINQUIRÁ – BOYACÁ

La valoración sociocultural de servicios ecosistémicos permite analizar las percepciones que posee la población de determinado territorio sobre los recursos naturales y los beneficios que obtienen de ellos, siendo instrumentos útiles para la identificación y aplicación de modelos de gestión y planeación del ordenamiento urbano. En este sentido, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar el valor sociocultural de los servicios ecosistémicos del Parque Juan Pablo II de la ciudad de Chiquinquirá, como mecanismo facilitador en la toma de decisiones en materia de planeación territorial en ambientes urbanos. Por lo cual se analizan datos tanto biofísicos como de percepción recolectada a través de la aplicación de una encuesta y entrevista a la población visitante, así como a actores gubernamentales de la ciudad de Chiquinquirá. Como resultado, se evidencia la amplia oferta de bienes y servicios provenientes del ecosistema del parque, observando que la amplia zona forestal y vegetal contribuye de manera importante a la regulación de condiciones climáticas, la provisión de recursos y el soporte. Asimismo, las instalaciones e infraestructura deportiva y ecológica comprenden un gran factor de identidad y cultura para la población.

The sociocultural valuation of ecosystem services allows analyzing the perceptions that the population of a given territory has about the natural resources and the benefits they obtain from them, being useful instruments for the identification and application of management and urban planning models. In this sense, the objective of this research is to identify the sociocultural value of the ecosystemic services of the Juan Pablo II Park in the city of Chiquinquira, as a facilitating mechanism for decision making in territorial planning in urban environments. Therefore, both biophysical and perception data collected through the application of a survey and interviews to the visiting population, as well as to governmental actors of the city of Chiquinquira, are analyzed. As a result, the wide range of goods and services provided by the park's ecosystem is evident, noting that the large forest and vegetation zone contributes significantly to the regulation of climatic conditions, the provision of resources, and support. Likewise, the park's sports and ecological facilities and infrastructure are an important identity and cultural factor for the population.
