México, sus peculiares formas y su gran capacidad de adaptación en zonas áridas han sido motivo de fascinación de coleccionistas nacionales y extranjeros.  Aunque un gran número de especies se encuentran incluidas en lista dos de protección especial, la constante presión de colecta con fines de comercio ilegal no ha cesado, dañando seriamente a las poblaciones, y destruyendo completamente su hábitat. Epithelantha micromeris (Engelm.) A. Weber ex Britt. & Rose, considerada una especie muy bella, está catalogada como especie con protección especial según la nom-059-semarnat-2010, a pesar de esto su saqueo y comercialización ilegal es una realidad. Es necesario propagarla eficientemente y asegurar su conservación. Una opción para ello es la micropropagación, la cual permite generar muchas plántulas a partir de un solo ejemplar. El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar la aplicación de reguladores de crecimiento vegetal al medio basal Murashige y Skoog para eficientar la propagación in vitro de E. micromeris. Se aplicaron tres hormonas vegetales: ácido indolacético (AIA), Kinetina (KIN) y ácido giberélico (AG), así como la interacción entre ellas, formando cuatro tratamientos más el testigo. Se utilizó un diseño completamente al azar con cinco tratamientos y seis repeticiones. Las vitroplantas se mantuvieron bajo condiciones ambientales controladas durante 30, 60 y 90 d. Al término de cada periodo se evaluaron el número de brotes, diámetro, altura, peso fresco y seco de vitroplantas y porcentaje de rendimiento. Los datos se sometieron a un análisis de varianza y se realizó comparación de medias con la prueba de Tukey (p<0.05). Los tratamientos basados en KIN aumentaron (p<0.05) el diámetro, altura y peso, pero sólo la interacción KIN-AIA promovió la formación de brotes, por lo que se consideró como el mejor tratamiento. 

إنجليزي. The Cactaceae family is considered one of the most diverse of Mexico. Its peculiar shapes and high adaptability in arid areas have been a source of fascination for domestic and foreign collectors. Although a large number of species are included in lists of special protection, the constant pressure of collection for purposes of illegal trade has continued, seriously damaging populations, and completely destroying their habitat. The cactus Epithelantha micromeris considered a very beautiful species is listed as a species with special protection accord ing to NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010, despite this its looting and illegal marketing is a reality, so it is necessary to propagate it efficiently and ensure its conservation. One option for this is the micropropagation technique, which can generate all desired seedlings from a single copy. The objective of this research was to evaluate the addition of plant growth regulators to basal media Murashige & Skoog to make more efficient the in vitro propagation. Three plant hormones were ap plied: indol acetico acid (IAA), kinetin (KIN), gibberellic acid (GA) and the interaction between them forming four treatments. A completely randomized design with six replicates was used. The vitroplants were kept under controlled environmental conditions for 30, 60 and 90 d.  After each period the number of shoots, diameter, height, fresh and dry weight and percent yield were evaluated. The data were subjected to analysis of variance and differences between means as determined by a Tukey test (p<0.05). KIN-based treatments had significant effects on diameter, height and weight, but only KIN-IAA interaction pro moted shoot formation, regarded as the best treatment.
