Features of development of Verbascum species in Central Yakutia | Особенности развития видов Verbascum в Центральной Якутии

إنجليزي. Mulleins are relatively unpretentious plants, therefore could be introduced to Central Yakutia, territory with sharply continental climate and insufficient moisture conditions. Identification mullein biological potential and the use opportunities as ornamental and medicinal plants are of scientific and practical interest. The work aim is to identify the peculiarities of the developmental rhythms of some species of the genus Verbascum in the permafrost conditions of Central Yakutia. The study objects were 11 samples: species V. chaixii subsp. austriacum, V. densiflorum, V. nigrum, V. nigrum subsp. abietinum, V. phoeniceum and V. thapsus. The material was obtained as seeds in 2018–2021 from institutions in Russia, Denmark, Romania and Poland. The seeds of the first V. phoeniceum sample were sown in a greenhouse and the resulting seedlings were transplanted into the field collection. The remaining seeds were sown outdoors in the second half of September. The plants overwintered under the snow without any additional protection. Phenological phases in the conditions of Central Yakutia were coming 3–4 weeks later in the calendar than in Central Russia; the end of the growing season was limited by the onset of autumn frosts. The results of mullein introduction in Central Yakutia showed high resistance in cultivaion of the species V. phoeniceum, V. nigrum, V. nigrum subsp. abietinum, V. chaixii subsp. austriacum and V. thapsus. Plants of these species sowed in the autumn bloom massively in the second life year, bloom for a long time, and form ripe seeds. V. chaixii subsp. Austriacum is the exception, it has abundant flowering in the first year of vegetation. These species are very decorative and can be recommended for inclusion in the range of ornamental herbaceous plants for Central Yakutia, while V. thapsus is also promising as a medicinal plant. V. densiflorum plants developed as annuals without having time to form ripe seeds. To use V. densiflorum as an ornamental or medicinal plant, a seedling period is required.

Представляет научно-практический интерес возможность интродукции видов корoвяков как относительно неприхотливых растений в Центральную Якутию с резко континентальным климатом и недостаточным увлажнением для выявления их биологического потенциала и возможности использования в качестве декоративных и лекарственных растений. Цель работы – выявление особенностей ритмов развития некоторых видов рода Verbascum в условиях многолетней мерзлоты Центральной Якутии. Объект исследований: 11 образцов видов V. chaixii subsp. austriacum, V. densiflorum, V. nigrum, V. nigrum subsp. abietinum, V. phoeniceum и V. thapsus. Материал был получен в виде семян в 2018–2021 гг. из учреждений России, Дании, Румынии и Польши. Семена первого образца V. phoeniceum сеяли в теплице, полученную рассаду пересаживали в полевую коллекцию. Остальные семена высевали во второй половине сентября в открытый грунт. Зимовка растений проходила под снегом без дополнительного укрытия. Фенологические фазы в условиях Центральной Якутии по календарным срокам наступали на 3–4 недели позже, чем в средней полосе России; окончание вегетационного периода ограничивалось наступлением осенних заморозков. По результатам интродукции в Центральную Якутию выявлена высокая устойчивость в культуре видов V. phoeniceum, V. nigrum, V. nigrum subsp. abietinum, V. chaixii subsp. austriacum и V. thapsus. При осеннем посеве семян растения этих видов массово зацветают на второй год, за исключением V. chaixii subsp. Austriacum, c обильным цветением и в первый год вегетации, продолжительно цветут и формируют спелые семена. Эти виды являются высокодекоративными и могут быть рекомендованы для включения в ассортимент декоративных травянистых растений для Центральной Якутии, причем V. thapsus перспективен и как лекарственное растение. Растения V. densiflorum развивались как однолетники, не успевая сформировать спелые семена. Для использования V. densiflorum в качестве декоративных или лекарственных растений необходим рассадный период.
