The aim of this study is to determine the development of Eisenia fetida (Red California Worm) in Hedera colchica (K.Koch) K.Koch (Persian Ivy) plant wastes and the effect of the obtained vermicompost on some growth parameters of Plectranthus amboinicus (Lour.) Spreng. (Cuban Thyme). The persian ivy plant used in the trials was obtained from the Zihni Derin campus of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, and the red California worm was obtained from the worm production laboratory of Turan Yüksek. Three different wastes (leaf (100%), fruit (100%), branch (100%)) obtained from H. colchica (Persian Ivy) were decomposed in plastic bags for one month. Then, the growing medium were transferred to plastic containers with 40x40x20 cm dimensions in three repetitions, according to randomized plots trial design, and 30 worms were placed in containers and the fertilizer was harvested after the completion of the fertilizer formation Measurements of plant parameters: Plant diameter was measured with a digital caliper, height growth was measured with a ruler, and the number of leaves and lateral branches were counted as pieces. The above and below ground biomass were determined by weighing. H. colchica (Persian Ivy) (100%) worm weight in the leaf medium showed an irregular developmental course. Height and diameter developments in the plants applied vermicompost were 58% and 63% higher, respectively.
