إنجليزي. In the context of the metropolitan changeover that the city of Tangier is experiencing, the pirate garden embodies one of the last improvised relationships to nature in the city. Testifying to both the re-actualization of vernacular knowledge and invention, these gardens question the classification of food or ornamental because they propose a total garden. They are the emerging face of the link to the earth that persists in the globalized city. Informal, freed from space and the notion of private property, they result from a common idea, but are individual and outside of any collective approach.

فرنسي. Dans le cadre du basculement métropolitain que connait la ville de Tanger, le jardin pirate incarne une des dernières relations improvisées à la nature dans la ville. Témoignant à la fois de la réactualisation de savoirs vernaculaires et d’invention, ces jardins questionnent la classification de vivrier ou ornementaux car proposent un jardin total. Ils sont la face émergée du lien à la terre qui persiste dans la ville globalisée. Informels, affranchis de l’espace et de la notion de propriété privée, ils résultent d’une idée commune, mais sont individuels et en dehors de toute démarche collective.
