اظهر المزيد [+] اقل [-]Cl- is an essential micronutrient in plants that has generally been associated to salinity stress and to an antagonisctic interaction with NO3- nutrition. HOwever, recent studies have pointed out the benefitial effecta of macronutrient levels of Cl- on plant growth and development (Colmenero-Flores et al, 2019). Evidences obtained in our laboratory indicate that Cl- is highly and specifically demanded during early vegetative development. Our aim was to study the impact of Cl- nutrition on flobal gene expression in N. tabacum roots during early vegetative growth. To that end, and RNA-seq dataset was obtained where the following transcriptomes were compared: i) plants supplemented with 5 mM Cl- (CL treatment); ii) plants treated with low Cl- supplemented with 5 mM NO3- (N treatment); iii) plants treated with low Cl-, supplemented with an equivalent concentration of phosphate + sulphate salts (SP treatment).
