ألمانية. Comparative studies in vitro on the inhibition of P. roqueforti by sev eral chemical components were carried out. By using sodium benzoate th e applicability of these results to silages was examined in ensiling t rials of laboratory scale. It could be shown the the amount of silage additive needed to prevent fungal growth under aerobic conditions not only depends on the pH-value but also on the content of P. roqueforti- progagules and the concentration of undissociated acetic acid at the e nd of anaerobic storage
