The presence of bla CTX-M1 and the integron profile 800 bp/ aadB , 1200 bp/ bla PSE-1 incombination with a similar Xba I-type in seven Typhimurium isolates from the same region, areindicative for the presence of a clone in the area which could have changed through time anddifferent animal hosts.This is another example of the bacterial ability to adapt to selective pressures provoked byapplying antimicrobial agents to domestic livestock.
