Creation of simple modified early maturing corn hybrids

The article presents data that shows the advantage of rela-ted crosses compared to the original homozygous lines. The main characteristics of the studied lines from 4 germplasms, as well as related crosses, were analyzed. Based on the results obtained, elements of a breeding program were formed to create early-ripening simple modified corn hybrids. For the period 2019-2022, 20 homozygous lines and 23 related crosses were studied for basic agronomic characters. The results obtained show that related crosses are more productive than the original lines by an average of 39% at a grain moisture content of 14,8%.
