The paper discusses the issues related to the diversity of selective varieties and forms of citrus fruits, as a certain guarantee of food and medical security. It is also emphasized that the biodiversity of citrus fruits is an important component of the floristic landscape of the subtropics of Georgia. The main emphasis has been shifted to the fact that, through methodical selection, it is possible to successfully highlight the role of citrus crops as guarantors of food security, as well as to widely use them in the service of human health protection. It is desirable to expand the research to include other varieties and forms of citrus fruits in this work. Ref. 7.
