Assessment of the balance of metabolic fluxes of glucose and ketone bodies by the ratio of their concentration in the blood of portal vein and carotid artery in lactating cows under different levels of starch in the diet | Оценка баланса метаболических потоков глюкозы и кетоновых тел по соотношению их концентрации в крови воротной вены и сонной артерии у лактирующих коров при разном уровне крахмала в рационе

إنجليزي. Starch is the main component determining the energy value of concentrated feeds and the activity of rumen microbiota. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of different levels of starch in the diet on shifts in the balance of intake of glucose and ketone bodies from the gastrointestinal tract to the portal blood system and from the liver to the general circulation. The experiment was conducted involving three Kholmogory cows in the first third of lactation, starting from the 60th day, in five periods of 10 days each. In the first and second periods of the experiment, potato pulp was included in the diet in the amount of 20 and 10%, respectively, in terms of metabolizable energy content in the main diet. In the third and fourth periods, the starch source was not added to the diet. The direction of shifts in the metabolic flows of glucose and ketone bodies was judged by changes in their concentration in the portal vein and carotid artery. The intakes of glucose from the gastrointestinal tract into the portal blood system and from the liver into the general circulation are generally interconnected with the starch content in the diet, although under some feeding conditions such a connection is weakly expressed or absent. So, the venous-arterial difference in glucose concentrations was negative or zero when the starch source was excluded from the diet. With an increase in the arterial concentration of β-hydroxybutyric acid over 6 mg/100 mL, its venous-arterial difference becomes negative, i.e. its production in the liver increases. Acetoacetate begins to be actively used in the body with a decrease in the use of β-hydroxybutyric acid. The data obtained can be used to improve feeding standards based on an analysis of the balance of metabolic flows in high-yielding dairy cows.

الروسية. Крахмал является главным компонентом, определяющим энергетическую ценность концентрированных кормов и активность рубцовой микробиоты. Цель исследования – изучение влияния разного уровня крахмала в рационе на сдвиги в балансе поступления глюкозы и кетоновых тел из ЖКТ в систему портальной крови и из печени в общую циркуляцию. Опыт проведен на трёх коровах холмогорской породы в первой трети лактации, начиная с 60-го дня, пятью периодами по 10 дней каждый. В I и II периодах опыта в состав рациона включали картофельную мезгу в количестве 20 и 10%, по обменной энергии от содержания в основном рационе, соответственно. В III и IV периодах источник крахмала в рацион не добавляли. О направленности сдвигов в метаболических потоках глюкозы и кетоновых тел судили по изменениям их концентрации в воротной вене и сонной артерии. Поступление глюкозы из желудочно-кишечного тракта в систему портальной крови и из печени в общую циркуляцию, в целом, взаимосвязаны с содержанием крахмала в рационе, хотя при некоторых условиях кормления такая связь слабо выражена или отсутствует. Так, венозно-артериальная разность концентраций по глюкозе была отрицательной или нулевой при исключении источника крахмала из рациона. При повышении артериальной концентрации β-оксимасляной кислоты свыше 6 мг/100 мл, её венозно-артериальная разность становится отрицательной, т.е. повышается её продукция в печени. Ацетоацетат начинает активно использоваться в организме при снижении использования β-оксимасляной кислоты. Полученные данные могут быть использованы при совершенствовании нормативов кормления на основе анализа баланса метаболических потоков у высокопродуктивных молочных коров.
