A Miostatina no melhoramento genético animal para a produção de carne.

Resumo: O gene da miostatina é considerado um dos candidatos no melhoramento da carne em animais de produção. O objetivo dessa investigação foi realizar uma revisão sistemática de literatura reunindo estudos relevantes às temáticas referentes às metodologias e aplicabilidade dos marcadores moleculares, utilizados em estudos com bovinos, caprinos, suínos, ovinos e aves no mundo. O pacote R de análise bibliométrica (bibliometrix) realizou a análise dos dados das buscas por publicações indexadas nos portais científicos Scopus e Web of Science, realizado em julho de 2021. A China seguida pelos Estados Unidos, Índia e Nova Zelândia, se destacaram como os países de maior número de publicações relacionadas a essa temática. As ferramentas moleculares mais utilizadas foram as que apresentam como base o sequenciamento, sendo representadas por SNPs. Percebeu-se a necessidade de ampliação de pesquisas no Brasil com esses estudos genéticos focados no melhoramento do animal para a característica de interesse, visto que o mesmo apresenta poucos estudos relacionados ao gene miostatina no melhoramento da carne em animais de produção. Abstract: The myostatin gene is considered one of the candidates for meat improvement in farm animals. The objective of this investigation was to carry out a systematic review of the literature, bringing together studies relevant to the themes related to the methodologies and applicability of molecular markers, used in studies with cattle, goats, swine, sheep and birds in the world. The R package of bibliometric analysis (bibliometrix) performed the analysis of data from searches for publications indexed in the scientific portals Scopus and Web of Science, carried out in July 2021. China followed by the United States, India and New Zealand stood out as the countries with the highest number of publications related to this topic. The most used molecular tools were those based on sequencing, represented by SNPs. There was a need to expand research in Brazil with these genetic studies focused on improving the animal for the trait of interest, since it has few studies related to the myostatin gene in meat improvement in production animals.
