The study investigated the effects of gamma irradiation with a dose of 200 Gy on soybean lines of the M8 generation, obtained from the Alina and Zodiac cultivars. The genetic variability recorded in agronomic traits, including earliness, plant height, pod number, grain yield per plant (PBP) and 1000-grain mass (MMB), was significant. Genotypes with increased PBP and MMB were identified as promising for optimizing soybean production, suggesting selection possibilities for higher yields under different environmental conditions. The study highlights the potential for adapting lines to specific environments and implications for future development of agricultural varieties, contributing to the sustainability and efficiency of soybean cultivation.
