إنجليزي. Based upon the Nomina Anatomica Avium we have done a review of the nomenclature of the parts and types of feathers. The more usual terms have been included, and the more appropriate names, in spanish, are proposed. To contribute to a better understanding of this subject most of the anatomical structures have been evidenced on colour pictures.

Tomando como base la Nomina Anatomica Avium se ha realizado una revisión de la nomenclatura de las diferentes partes de la pluma, así como de los tipos de plumas. Se han incluido los vocablos de uso más frecuente y se proponen los términos, en español, más adecuados en este campo de la anatomía veterinaria. Con el fin de contribuir a una mejor evidenciación de la mayoría de las estructuras consideradas, el texto se acompaña de imágenes fotográficas en color.
