إنجليزي. In this paper we study the influence of the city in the periurban land of San Sebastian (Basque Country). In this area we see that the farm funtion is remove by the urban belt using different ways. The most evident of all is the urbanitation of land grow. However, before coming to the urbanitation of the rural area, the value of this grow and the space diffilcuties carry off that the farmer take the decision of leaving the farm activity.

الأسبانية؛ قشتالية. En este artículo profundizamos en la influencia que la presión urbana ejerce sobre el medio rural que le rodea, tomando como referencia el periurbano de San Sebastián. Observamos cómo la ciudad elimina progresivamente la agrícultura que se desarrolla en su proximidad y lo hace utilizando distintos instrumentos. El más visible es la ocupación física de ese espacio aunque, todo indica que mucho antes de llegar a esta situación el valor del suelo y las dificultades territoriales ya le han llevado al agricultor a tomar la decisión de abandonar esta actividad.
