Evaluación de cuatro sistemas de alojamiento para criar terneros

Se compararon y evaluaron los siguientes sistemas de alojamiento para la crianza de terneros: camas bajo cobertizo, terneros amarrados a estacas y terne roe sueltos en potreros, con un testigo ( establo ) en donde la acción de los factores ambientales no era controlada completamente. Se utilizaron 6 terneros por tratamiento, de raza Mestizo-Holetein Friesian. El ensayo comenzó cuando los animales cumplieron una semana de edad, hasta los 6 meses, excepto para el control de peso que continuó hasta los 8 meses.

The animals were subjected to the following treatix ents: barn, tied to stakes, corral with stalls and loose with the pature. The - -treater, ents were compared to the regular barn used as control. Eight colves were used in each treatment. They stayed in the experiment iron one week to six months of age, however body weight were measured up to eight months of age.
