The paper investigates the functions of the power electrical system and installed electrical equipment which are influenced by different transaction processes, which are accompanied by the electric arc. These transaction processes are able to describe the system of differential equations provided in the article. Both connecting transaction processes and electric arc have a negative influence on the functional reliability of the installed electrical equipment
