This article presents the results of our investigations during the 1995-2003 period held on gooseberry varieties Donetski krupnoplodnii, Donetski pervenets, Schedrii and Kolobok introduced in the Republic of Moldova on the planting distances of 2.5х0.75 m; 2.5х1.0 m; 2.5х1.25 m. Fruits weight and nourishing substances accumulation in them depend on the climatic conditions, variety and less on the planting distance
