Busha cattle is the name for autochthonous cattle breed that have lived in our area, especially in the mountains, for centuries. The population has undergone spontaneous natural evolution, primarily under pressure of poor nutrition and modest housing conditions. Due to the intensive development of animal husbandry and the agricultural in dustry, which is ruthless in making a profit, autochthonous Busha has lost its privileged status among cattle breeders and nowadays is bred by enthusiasts and true lovers of this breed. The population size in Bosnia and Herzegovina is estimated up to 150 individuals (Rogić et al, 2013) and around 450 animals, wi th 300 active breeding cows according to the data on subsidies paid per capita in the Republic of Srpska. The data on morphological parameters, as well as reproductive indices of the Busha cattle are few and insufficient. Comparing the Gacko cattle and the po pulations of Busha from East and West Herzegovina, Rogić et al. (2011b) fo und that there was a significant statistical difference between the bone index between these three populations. The bone index in two Busha groups from Herzegovina groups was 13.76 and 13, respectively. The average withers height in this population was 113.52 cm, while the average cannon circumference was 14.23 cm, indicating that the bone index of this po pulation is 12.54 with a standard deviation of 0.6842. Thus, analysis of withers height and anterior left cannon circumference revealed that statistical asso ciation between these two traits is highly significant (p = 0.002) in our Busha cattle population
