In the Special Nature Reserve “Zasavica”, in addition to other indigenous spe cies of animals, are also bred the pigs of the hairy mangulica. This breed of pig, once the most popular and most numerous in our country and in the surroun ding countries, was originated from Šumadinka, the Serbian breed of pigs. Data for the analysis of fertility, number of pollinations, age of sows during pollina tion as well as the number of pollinated piglets were taken from the records, which contain those parameters, in the special Nature Reserve “Zasavica”, near Sremska Mitrovica. Pigs live freely in harem conditions. Thus, it is impossible to know the date of mating as well as the date of farrowing. In addition, the boar that fertilized an individual sow is not known. Only orientationally can be talked about the length of sucking. It is not possible to determine the exact date of withdrawal. In the observed period, from 2018 to 2020, 74 farrowing were registered. The number of pollinations increases with significant intensity, and that is the result of the increased number of female heads and their introduction into the reproductive process. From the observed three years, the largest number of weaned piglets, the highest percentage of 91.76% was registered during year 2019. When observing the data on the number of pollinated per litter, the data were obtained in accordance with those stated in the literature. For the obser ved three years, the number of pollinated piglets per litter ranged from 3.90 to 4.25. Accordingly, the number of those involved ranged from a minimum of 2.17 to a maximum of 3.90.
