Protozoan landscape in the rumen of calves

The formation of a viable organism of animals after birth, especially ruminants, cannot be considered without taking into account the conditions of growth and development of the fetus and the birth of functionally active animals. In the course of the research we have established that the morpho-functional connection of the fetus with the mother's organism, and accordingly its provision with nutrients and Oxygen, to a large extent depends on this connection. In fetuses. which had the most significant level of this connection, in the subsequent periods of life, after birth, the intensity of the formation of rumen fermentation processes is significantly higher than that of calves with a low level of morpho-functional connection. It was established that in 6-month-old animals, during the period of stabilization of the functions of the digestive organs, depending on the indicators of embryonic growth and development, rumen fermentation was formed as follows. In animals with a high level of embryonic connection, the total number of microorganisms in the rumen contents was significantly higher. In calves of the third group, their number was significantly higher, 1.07-1.02 times than in animals of the second group and 1.64-1.70 times (p<0.01) than in calves of the first group. The high level of rumen fermentation affected the physiological and biochemical status of the body of calves of the experimental groups at 6 months of age. Thus, the content of VFA in the blood of calves of the second and third groups remained 2.08-2.18 times, 2.04-2.25 times higher than in animals of the first group (p<0.001).
