The conducted analyses in the European Union determined that buildings, with approximately 41% of total consumption, present the leading individual energy consumers. Furthermore, buildings are also large environmental polluters, since it is that trend that leads to the increase in energy consumption and the emission of carbon-dioxide. The energy studies in the Republic of Serbia have proven that up to 50% of the total energy needed is directed towards heating. The reduction of energy demands in the process of designing, constructing and utilizing new buildings, as well as repairing and reconstructing the existing ones, can be achieved by applying contemporary measures in energy efficiency in building. The analysis on the existing constructions can be performed on the site with thermographic technique that primarily describes the approximation of the qualitative energy performance of a building and places the main heat losses in evidence. The application of the infrared thermography can be very easily and reliably used to conduct the qualitative evaluation on heat conductivity. In the same manner, data can be gathered and utilized, with the adequate standard-based calculation, for obtaining quantitative properties of heat conductivity.
