The influence of inoculation with fungi of the genus Fusarium on beta-sitosterol content in grain of different varieties of winter wheat | Wpływ inokulacji grzybami z rodzaju Fusarium na zawartość beta-sitosterolu w ziarnie różnych odmian pszenicy ozimej

إنجليزي. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of inoculation with Fusarium fungi on the content of beta-sitosterol in wheat grain. Thirty varieties of winter wheat cultivated under the same agronomic and climatic conditions were tested in two experimental variants. The first of these was a control trial growing without interference, while the second variant was an inoculation experiment with fungal spores of the genus Fusarium. Beta-sitosterol, the most important among the endogenous sterols of plants, was analyzed after microwave assisted saponification and pentane extraction with UPLC with DAD detector. Based on the results of the chemical analyzes, significant differences in sterol contents between control and inoculated samples as well as between varieties were found. The mean concentration of beta-sitosterol in the control samples was 433.51 mg/kg, whereas in the inoculated samples it was significantly lower and was 340.88 mg/kg. This study clearly indicates that the mechanism of metabolism of plant sterols presented in the literature for the other microorganisms is similar to that of Fusarium species.

تلميع. Celem badań było określenie wpływu inokulacji grzybami z rodzaju Fusarium na zawartość beta-sitosterolu w ziarnie pszenicy. Analizie poddano 30 odmian pszenicy ozimej, uprawianej w tych samych warunkach agrotechnicznych i klimatycznych w dwóch wariantach doświadczalnych. Pierwszy z nich były to próby kontrolne wzrastające bez ingerencji, natomiast drugim wariantem były próby inokulowane zarodnikami grzybów z rodzaju Fusarium. Beta-sitosterol, jako najważniejszy spośród steroli endogennych roślin analizowano po wcześniejszej saponifikacji wspomaganej promieniowaniem mikrofalowym i ekstrakcji pentanem za pomocą UPLC z detektorem DAD. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników analiz chemicznych stwierdzono istotne różnice w zawartości analizowane sterolu między próbami kontrolnymi i inokulowanymi, jak również między odmianami. Średnie stężenie beta-sitosterolu w próbach kontrolnych wynosiło 433,51 mg/kg, natomiast w próbach inokulowanych było istotnie niższe i wynosiło 340,88 mg/kg. Niniejsze badania wskazują jednoznacznie, iż proponowany do tej pory w literaturze, a przedstawiony dla innych mikroorganizmów mechanizm metabolizowania roślinnych steroli jest podobny dla grzybów z rodzaju Fusarium.
