Effectiveness in weed control and phytotoxicity of Guateque GD 75 in sugar cane | Efectividad en el control de malezas y fitotoxicidad de Guateque GD 75 en caña de azúcar

إنجليزي. The present work aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Guateque (Isoxaflutole) GD 75 formulation in the pre-emergent control of sugarcane weeds and the phytotoxicity caused to the crop. The studies were mounted on typical red Ferralitic soil, in the plant cane cycle, with the cultivar C86-156 in the Mayabeque province, in western Cuba. Five treatments were studied: three doses of Guateque GD 75, a standard treatment, and an absolute control, which were applied after planting with a Matabi 16-L capacity knapsack sprayer, Floot jeed nozzles, and a final calibrated 300-L solution. ha-1. The effectiveness of the herbicide product and the phytotoxicity to the crop were evaluated. Analysis of variance and Tukey's test were performed, both at 0.05 probability of error. The results showed that the three evaluated doses of Guateque GD 75, up to 120 days after application, maintained a control from Excellent to Very good on the species Echinochloa colona (L.) Link, Portulaca oleracea L., Sorghum halepense (L .) Pers. And Cynodon dactylon (L.) similar to standard treatment. Phytoxicity symptoms were observed in cultivar C86-156 in the form of chlorosis that disappeared after 60 days of application

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar la efectividad del formulado Guateque (Isoxaflutole) GD 75 en el control pre emergente de malezas en caña de azúcar y la fitotoxicidad causada al cultivo. Los estudios se montaron sobre suelo Ferralítico rojo típico, en ciclo de caña planta, con el cultivar C86-156 en la provincia de Mayabeque, en el occidente de Cuba. Se estudiaron cinco tratamientos: tres dosis de Guateque GD 75, un tratamiento estándar y un testigo absoluto, los que se aplicaron posterior a la plantación con asperjadora de espalda Matabi de 16 L de capacidad, boquillas Floot jeed y una solución final calibrada de 300 L ha-1. Se evaluaron la efectividad del producto herbicida y la fitotoxicidad al cultivo. Se realizaron análisis de varianza y prueba de Tukey, ambas al 0.05 de probabilidad de error. Los resultados mostraron que las tres dosis evaluadas de Guateque GD 75, hasta los 120 días posteriores a la aplicación, mantuvieron un control de Excelente a Muy bueno sobre las especies Echinochloa colona (L.) Link, Portulaca oleracea L., Sorghum halepense (L.) Pers.y Cynodon dactylon (L.) similar al tratamiento estándar. Se observaron síntomas de fitoxicidad en el cultivar C86-156 en forma de clorosis que desaparecieron luego de los 60 días de la aplicación
