Irrigation Water Productivity in the Cultivation of Bean Under Production Conditions | Productividad del agua de riego en el cultivo del frijol en condiciones de producción

At worldwide scale the agriculture is the biggest consumer of water, coinciding the reports when pointing out that it consumes 70% of the total water used in the planet annually, being necessary to increase the efficiency of its use. In that sense in the world are carried out efforts guided to obtaining of more food with less water. This research had as objective to evaluate the behavior of the productivity of the irrigation water in the bean cropping. The study was carried out in the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC) "Victoria II", of the Agricultural Company Camagüey, where the irrigation was carried out using machines of central pivot on a Fersialitic brown red soil. The obtained results show values of water irrigation productivity in a range from 1,90 to 7,70 m3/kg in equality of conditions of soils, irrigation technology and cultivation, which confirms the incidence of other factors others than the irrigation. The obtained results in different irrigation systems show inadequacies in the practices of handling of the technology being necessary the implementation of good agricultural practices.

A escala mundial la agricultura es el mayor consumidor de agua, coincidiendo los reportes en señalar que consume anualmente el 70% del agua total utilizada en el planeta, siendo necesario incrementar la eficiencia de utilización, por lo que en ese sentido en el mundo se realizan esfuerzos encaminados a la obtención de más alimentos con menos agua. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar el comportamiento de la productividad del agua de riego en el cultivo del frijol. El estudio se realizó en la Unidad Básica de Producción Cooperativa (UBPC) “Victoria II”, perteneciente a la Empresa Agropecuaria Camagüey, en la cual el riego se efectuó empleando máquinas de pívot central sobre suelo Fersialítico pardo rojizo. Los resultados obtenidos muestran valores de productividad del agua de riego en un rango entre 1,90 y 7,70 m3/kg en igualdad de condiciones de suelos, tecnología de riego y cultivo, lo cual confirma la incidencia de otros factores ajenos al riego. Los resultados obtenidos en diferentes sistemas de riego muestran insuficiencias en las prácticas de manejo de la tecnología siendo necesaria la implementación de buenas prácticas agrícolas.
