This experiment was conducted on a ferruginousNodular Gley Hidromorphic soil from �??Los Palacios�?� RiceResearch Station, using 1 x 1 m pots within 2000-2001 poorly-rainy and 2001 rainy seasons. INCA LP-2 variety was studiedin a randomized complete design with four treatments and fourreplicates, which were from flooding for 48 hours up to soilfield capacity; the highest germination percentage from 96 to100 % was recorded with soil field capacity, these valuescorresponding to the biggest agricultural yields obtained.

El experimento se condujo en la Estación Experi-mental de Arroz �??Los Palacios�?�, sobre un suelo HidromórficoGley Nodular ferruginoso, en macetas con dimensiones de 1.0x 1.0 m durante las épocas poco lluviosa del 2000-2001 y lluvio-sa del 2001. Se sembró la variedad comercial INCA LP-2. Seutilizó un diseño experimental completamente aleatorizado concuatro tratamientos y cuatro réplicas que fueron desde: anie-go durante 48 horas hasta suelo a capacidad de campo, permi-tiendo la variante suelo a capacidad de campo, el mayor por-centaje desde un 96 hasta un 100 % de germinación, corres-pondiendo estos valores a los mayores rendimientos agríco-las obtenidos.
