Global changes of Lixiviated Red Ferralitic soils (euthric rodic Nitisols) from Havana province | CAMBIOS GLOBALES DE LOS SUELOS FERRALÍTICOS ROJOS LIXIVIADOS (NITISOLES R�?DICOS �?UTRICOS) DE LA PROVINCIA LA HABANA

إنجليزي. The present concepts of Global Soil Change(GSC) are exposed in this work, and applied to Rhodic EutrhicNitisols, represented in Havana province. Based on the studyof 10 soil profiles (FRL), with different land uses (from soilsunder permanent grove of ficus, soils under fruit groves for 30years, soils previously cultivated and now with grass, andsoils under intensive culture for more than 30 years), changesappearing in the properties of this type of soil were determined,mainly its color, structure, amount of organic matter, dispersalfactor, bulk density, total porosity and exchangeable cations.At the same time, one hypothesis is presented about theprocess that is happening in the last 15-20 years, with pHincrease in these soils, in intensive culture areas of Havanaprovince. By this hypothesis, it was determined that pHincrease is due to soil functioning, its intensive culture withirrigation application and the climatic change that is happeningin Cuba in the last 50 years, due mainly to the increase of 0.60Cin the mean annual temperature and 1.60C in the daily minimumtemperature.

En el trabajo se exponen los conceptos actualesde cambios globales en los suelos (CGS) y se aplican a lossuelos Ferralíticos Rojos Lixiviados (FRL), que se presentanen la provincia La Habana. Sobre la base del estudio de 10perfiles de los suelos FRL en diferentes formas de uso de latierra (desde suelos bajo arboleda permanente de ficus, suelosbajo frutales de 30 años o más, suelos cultivados y despuéscon pastos, y suelos bajo cultivos intensivos de 30 años), sedeterminaron los cambios que ocurren en las propiedades deeste tipo de suelo, principalmente por el color, la estructura, elcontenido en materia orgánica, el factor de dispersión, la densidadaparente, la porosidad total y los cationes cambiables.Al mismo tiempo, se presenta una hipótesis sobre el procesoque está ocurriendo en los últimos 15-20 años, con el aumentode pH en estos suelos, en áreas de cultivo intensivo en laprovincia La Habana. En esta hipótesis se determina que elaumento del pH es debido al funcionamiento del suelo, sucultivo intensivo con aplicación de riego y el cambio climáticoque viene ocurriendo en los últimos 50 años en Cuba, debidoprincipalmente al aumento de 0.60C en la temperatura mediaanual y de 1.60C de la temperatura mínima diaria.
