The experiment was carried out at the NationalInstitute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA), with the objective ofstudying the phenology of sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum L.)at different seeding dates. The seeds were put in six-liter-potswith a compacted Red Ferralitic soil and organic manuresubstrate at a rate of 3:1 v/v. Results showed that there weredifferences of up to 15 days of crop cycle between seedingdates.

El presente trabajo se desarrolló en el InstitutoNacional de Ciencias Agrícolas (INCA), con el objetivo deestudiar la fenología de la albahaca blanca (Ocimum basilicumL.) en diferentes fechas de siembra. Para ello las semillas sesembraron en enero y abril en recipientes de seis litros, con unsustrato de suelo Ferralítico Rojo compactado y materia orgánicadel tipo cachaza, en una relación 3:1 v/v. Del análisis delas observaciones se obtuvo que, entre las fechas estudiadas,se alcanzan diferencias hasta de 15 días en cuanto a la duracióndel ciclo del cultivo.
