إنجليزي. Two experiments were developed at the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, San José de las Lajas, Havana, from 1994 to 1996. They were conducted on a compacted Red Ferralitic soil employing a randomized block design and four replications. Therefore, Cassava clones CMC-40 and Señorita were planted at different plant spacings: 0.90x1.0; 1.40x0.60 and 1.80 x 0.50 m with corn or bean intercropped between rows of several cassava populations. Cassava yield and its components were evaluated. Results proved a differentiated clonal performance concerning corn or bean intercropping.

En los años 1994,1995 y 1996 se desarrollaron dos experimentos en áreas del Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Agrícolas, San José de las Lajas, La Habana, sobre un suelo Ferralítico Rojo compactado, en un diseño de bloques al azar con cuatro réplicas. Estos consistieron en plantar los clones de yuca CMC-40 y Señorita a diferentes distancias: 0.90 x 1.0; 1.40 x 0.60 y 1.80 x 0.50 m e intercalar maíz o frijol entre hileras de yuca con diferentes poblaciones. Se evaluó el rendimiento de la yuca y sus componentes. Los resultados demuestran un comportamiento diferente entre los dos clones respecto al intercalamiento con maíz o frijol.
