Salinity inhibitsplant growth and productivity, induces osmotic imbalancesrelationships between soil and plants and in the metabolismof these. Stress tolerance in plants is a complex phenomenoninvolving many changes at the biochemical and physiologicallevel. The mechanisms behind stress tolerance seem to beaffected by the colonization of arbuscular mycorrhizalfungi, numerous studies demonstrating that inoculationwith these fungi improving plant growth under salt stress,so the knowledge of the interactions between different AMFspecies and soil conditions leading to the establishment ofbetter adapted populations and more effective to ensure thebenefits of symbiotic association under these conditions.
