<p>An experiment involving nine Maned-wolf<em>(Chrysocyon brachyurus</em>), from the Triangulo Mineiro area,Minas Gerais, Brazil, was carried out to check the occurrence of hookworm eggs and their adult forms. Eggs of the referred helminths were identified in 77.77% of the studied animals. Among the adult forms founded in the small intestine, two species were identified: <em>Uncinaria stenocephala </em>(Railliet, 1884) and <em>Ancylostoma caninum </em>(Ercolani, 1859). The authors report of the first occurrence in the <em>U. stenocephala </em>and C.<em>brachyurus </em>Brazil.</p> | <p>Foi realizado um estudo em 9 lobos-guará<em>( Chrysocyon brachyurus</em>) da região do Triangulo Mineiro, Minas Gerais, Brasil, com o objetivo de verificar a ocorrência de ovos e de formas adultas deancilostomatídeos. Foram identificados ovos dos referidos helmintos em 77,77% dos animais estudados. Duas espécies de formas adultas de ancilostomatídeos encontradas no intestino delgado foram identificadas como: <em>Uncinaria stenocephala </em>(Railliet, 1884) e <em>Ancylostomacaninum </em>(Ercolani, 1859). Relatou-se pela primeiravez, a ocorrência de <em>U. stenocephala </em>em <em>C. brachyurus, </em>no Brasil.</p>

Hepatozoon canis gametocytes, measuring 9,56 µm x 5,60 µm were identified in circulating leukocytes of two dogs admitted to the Veterinary Hospital of the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Morulae of Ehrlichia canis were also found in circulating monocytes. The authors report the first occurrence of H. canis in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais state. | <p>Gametócitos de Hepatozoon canis, medindo 9,56 µm x 5,60 µm, foram identificados no citoplasma de leucócitos circulantes de dois cães atendidos no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Essa hemoparasitose ocorreu associada à infecção por E. canis. É relatada a primeira ocorrência do H. canis em Uberlândia, Minas Gerais.</p>
