The scarcity of green during summer months imposes nutritional stress on farm animals. In this study we examined the effect of nutritional stress on various biochemical parameters of rabbits.Control and green deprived groups each of 20, weaned New Zealand White rabbits, of either sex, were randomly placed and observed for two months. Then green was re-introduced in deprived group for again two months. Blood sera harvested at every 15th day and analyzed using RA 50 Chemistry auto analyzer. Significant (p0.05) decrease of alkaline phosphatase (AKP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and increase in gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) and serum cholesterol was observed in rabbits green deprived group.

The protective effects of high levels of dietary iron, copper, zinc or protein on lead toxicity were studied in chicks. Growth retardation, reduction of feed intake, anemia and accumulation of lead in the bone and kidney were observed in chicks fed a diet containing 500mg lead as chloride/kg of feed for 42 days. Early changes due to ingested lead were inhibition of red blood cell 8-aminolevulinic acid dehydrase at all doses and no effect of iron, copper, zinc or protein addition were observed

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the activity of hepatic specific enzymes of blood serum of bull calves of black-and-white breed in course of application of various doses of zinc-containing preparations. Application of zinc-containing preparations led to multidirectional change of activity of hepatic specific serum enzymes. Application of Zinkovet preparation in dose of 1,8 g/100 kg of live weight made it possible to essentially grade the indexes of hepatic tissue affect. In the experimental group at animals there was marked the lowering in activity alanine-aminotransferase, serum glutamic oxalacetic transaminase and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase. At the same time, there was noted the increasing of zinc-containing enzymes activity (sorbitol dehydrogenase and glutamate dehydrogenase). All these processes were caused by zinc inclusion into the metabolic process.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed the efficiency of 13-18-month old young stock of cattle bred for meat in the conditions of various energy value nutrition levels with the determination of nutrients intake of a diet. It was established that use of rations with various level of metabolic energy and protein breakage rendered the positive influence on nutrient digestibility of rations. This made it possible to improve the digestibility of dry and organic substances, nitrogen-free extractive substances and fibre at the bull calves which were fed with 63% of cleavable protein, as well as to increase the metabolic energy up to 10% in the ration, surpassing the control indexes respectively on 3.1; 2.5; 2.8; and 2.9 items. Adjournment from the acquired nitrogen considerably increased and made up to 64-70%. Productivity of fattening young cattle stock made it possible to obtain 977.7-1011.0 gram of live weight gain. As a result, the growth energy was stated at the level of 15,90-17,33 МJ in the conditions of conversion of metabolic energy into growth of 13,81-14,26% and expenses of metabolic energy of the ration per 1 MJ in live weight gain of 4,72-5,46 MJ.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were determined the doses of application of siliceous sapropel as well as there were studied the indexes of ruminal digestion and digestibility of diet nutrient substances by bull calves. The studied siliceous sapropel of the lake Pribylovichi (Belarus) occurence on 42% consisted of organic substances and on 58% - of mineral substances: calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, zinc, manganese, and copper. The studied sample of sapropel did not render toxic action on test objects of infusorian Tetrahymena pyriformis in the conditions of its addition into the basic forage in number of 1%; 3%; 5%; and 10%. However, its higher concentrations (10%) retarded the development of Protozoa. Feed additives with the content of siliceous sapropel in mixed fodder in dose of 1%, 3% and 5% increased the relative biological value of forage in the experiments on test objects of infusorians Tetrahymena pyriformis in the average respectively on 5,4%, 5,0 and 2,6%. Higher concentrations of sapropel in mixed fodder (5 and 10%) lowered its nutritional value. Inclusion of siliceous sapropel in bull calve rations activated the enzymatic processes in farding bag and increased the digestibility nutritive elements on 2,3-3,6% except for protein, digestibility which was practically at identical level at animals of all groups.

Studying of influence of various levels of selenium on growth, protein structure of blood serum, natural resistance, and reproductive performance of pedigree bull-calves was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. It was established, that feeding with an optimum dose of selenium (0,4 mg per 1 kg of dry matter) in rations of replacement bull-calves during the raising period promoted the increasing of daily average weight gain on 6,8%, indexes of natural resistance - on 0,5-13,9%, and sperm production quality - on 4,5-27,3%. In the conditions of optimization of selenium level of in diets the protein structure of blood serum of replacement bull-calves exceeded the similar index at control animals by the crude protein index - on 8,3 (Р less than 0,05), by albumine and alpha globulin -on 2,2% and 1,6%, respectively. Application of selenium in dose of 0,4 mg per 1 kg of dry matter made it possible to increase the indexes of natural resistance on 0,5-13,9%. Increase of selenium dose up to 0,4 mg per 1 kg of dry matter in made it possible to increase the quantity and quality of sperm of bull-calves, that was proved by the increasing of ejaculate volume on 4,5%, concentration of male germ cells in ejaculate – on 15,7% (Р less than 0,05) and male germ cells activity - on 7,3% (Р less than 0,001)

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed the efficiency of application of a new mineral additive produced of the basis of carnallite brine (the national local raw material) as a part of mixed fodders for feeding of young stock of cattle. There was analyzed its influence on digestibility of a diet nutrients in cattle rations and on animal productivity. Inclusion of carnallite brine in mixed fodders structure for fattening young cattle rendered a positive influence on forage palatability. Forage consumption on a per head basis increased on 5,4%. Optimum dose of addition of carnallite brine in mixed fodder - 0,85%. Feeding of young cattle with the experimental mixed fodders did not render negative influence on hematological indices and physiological condition of animals. Use in young cattle rations of the mixed fodder containing 0,85% of carnallite brine promoted the increasing of nutrient digestibility on 3,4-5,7%. In the conditions of feeding of mixed fodders with other doses of carnallite did not cause any changes in digestibility of nutrients. Feeding of the prepared mixed fodder with 0,85% of carnallite brine to young growth of cattle made it possible to increase the growth energy on 5%.
