The necropsy of 24 dogs with positive blood serum test for Dipetalonema sp microfilarias demonstrated that 93.9% of the parasites were located in the subcutaneous tissue and 6.1% in general visceral organs. The helminths were localized in different anatomical regions, the chest was found with the highest frequency. | Foram necropsiados 24 cães com exame de sangue positivo para microfilarias de Dipetalonema sp. Verificou-se que 93,9% dos parasitos foram encontrados no tecido subcutâneo e 6,1% nas vísceras. A localização dos helmintos variou com as regimes anatômicas, sendo o tórax o local de maior freqüência.

The distribution of the ramus principalis sinister of lhe biliary ducts of 40 adult females of Jaffarabadi breed buffaloes was studied after latex Neoprenie 650 and Celobar injections through theductus choledochus. Following fixation in 10% formaldehyde solution, radiograms were taken from the specimens and then dissected. The ramus principalis sinister is formed usually by several roots, ramus medialis lobi sinistri, truncus intermediomedialis, truncus intermediolateralis, ramus lateralis lobi sinistri. In addition, innominate tributaries originating from the lobus caudatus (pars supraportalis), lobus sinister (medial, intermediate and lateral territories), lobus quadratus and lobus dexter. In a few cases the ramus principalis sinister had components inter-related or related to the vesica fellea. | Estabeleceu-se a sistematização do ramus principalis sinister, um dos componentes das vias bilíferas intra-hepáticas em 40 búfalos fêmeas da raça Jaffarabadi adultas. Através do ductus choledocus. as vias bilíferas de cada animal foram injetadas com látex Neoprene 650 e Celobar, radiografadas e dissecadas após fixação em solução aquosa de formol a 10%. O ramus principalis sinister é formado de maneira geral pelos seus componentes: ramus medialis lobi sinistri, truncus intermediamedialis, truncus intermediolateralis, ramus lateralis lobi sinistri e ramus lobi quadrati, além de afluentes inominados oriundos do lobus caudatus (pars supraportalis), lobus sinister (territórios: mediai, intermédio e lateral), lobus quadratus e lobus dexter. Foram observados em alguns órgãos determinados componentes do sistema do ramus principalis sinister relacionando-se entre si ou com a vesica fellea.

The efficiency of six foot and mouth disease vaccines was examined by the Mouse Protection Index and C Index tests using 15 or more guinea pigs per viral dilution for titration. A good correlation and high significance were obtained between the tests. The value of the Mouse Protection Index was approximately double the C Index value. Thus, in view of its low cost and easy execution due to the exclusive use of mice, the Mouse Protection Index can be recommended for testing the efficiency of foot and mouth disease vaccines, especially when a large number of tests is needed. | O exame da eficiência de seis vacinas antiaftosa, realizado com os testes “Indice Proteção Camundongos” e "Índice C” utilizando 15 ou mais cobaias por diluição de vírus na titulação, demonstrou a presença de boa correlação e alta significância entre os resultados das duas provas. O valor do índice Proteção Camundongos foi aproximadamente o dobro do valor do índice C. Assim, o índice Proteção Camundongos pode ser recomendado como teste de eficiência de vacinas antiaftosa. principalmente quando se necessita um grande número de provas, devido a seu baixo custo e facilidade de execução, por usar exclusivamente camundongos.
