Purpose. To study the expression of gus and gfp genes in callus explants of amphidiploid spelt wheat (Triticum spelta L.) after Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation. Methods. Winter spelt wheat of ‘Europa’ variety was chosen for transformation. Calli obtained from mature embryos were used as explants. Callus pre-cultivation was carried out on MS nutrient medium (Murashige–Skoog) supplemented with 2 mg/L 2.4-D (2.4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) and 10 mg/L silver nitrate. For genetic transformation, Agrobacterium tumefaciens Conn., strain GV3101 and a genetic construct with reporter genes beta-glucuronidase (GUS) and green fluorescent protein (GFP) were used. Calli were transformed by inoculation with agrobacteria and vacuum infiltration. Then they were co-cultured on MS medium with 2 mg/L 2.4-D and 10 mg/L AgNO3, but without antibiotics. The expression of the gus gene was checked by histochemical and the gfp gene by visual analysis (fluorescence of the GFP protein in UV light). Gfp and gus gene expression levels were evaluated using ImajeJ software. The integration of the gfp and gus genes into the spelt genome was verified by PCR. Results. Использование методов вакуумной инфильтрации и инокуляции для генетической трансформации спельты дали разные результаты. Частота генетической трансформации колебалась от 3,66 до 4,66%. To conduct research on the establishment of the basic structural elements of an adaptive information model for predicting the productivity of basic crops used the method of constructing dynamic models. Results. A detailed analysis of conceptual approaches to the construction of mathematical agricultural models is carried out and the main advantages and disadvantages of modern analogues are established. It is determined that the adaptive information model is based solely on the needs of the plant and actually on the need to provide these needs with available resources in order to obtain consistently high yields with high quality indicators. The hardware and software complex must have a feedback relationship between its basic structural elements, because it significantly improves the accuracy of predicting plant productivity. Data based on the operation of certain mechanisms or indicators of weather conditions and their forecasts are used for decision making, however, if they are substantially changed, decisions about individual technology elements are reviewed. The software should be related to the economic part and should take into account market conditions and forecast data when making recommendations. In the case of low purchase prices for products, we recommend that certain agrotechnical operations (say vegetation feeding) be applied or not, in the case of significant change in growing conditions - when the application of these agro-measures will be ineffective due to the negative effects of drought, etc. Conclusions. Adaptive information system for forecasting productivity in the technological process of growing crops is formed on the basis of a model consisting of three modules of characteristics – the resultant and two components. At each subsequent stage of implementation of the model, the resulting feature becomes component, with the maximum contribution to the resulting feature of the next module.

Целью данного исследования была разработка основных компонентов модели адаптивной информационной системы прогнозирования продуктивности сельскохозяйственных культур. Методы. Для проведения исследований по установлению основных структурных элементов адаптивной информационной модели прогнозирования продуктивности основных сельскохозяйственных культур использовали метод построения динамических моделей. Результаты. Проведен детальный анализ концептуальных подходов к построению математических сельскохозяйственных моделей и установлены основные преимущества и недостатки современных аналогов. Определено, что адаптивная информационная модель базируется исключительно на потребностях растения и собственно необходимость обеспечить эти потребности доступными ресурсами с целью получения стабильно высокой урожайности с хорошими показателями качества. Программно-аппаратный комплекс должен иметь обратную связь между его основными структурными элементами, ведь за счет этого значительно повышается точность прогнозирования продуктивности растений. Данные полученные на основе работы определенных механизмов или показатели погодных условий и их прогнозы используются для принятия решений, однако, в случае их существенного изменения решение об отдельных элементах технологии пересматриваются. Программный продукт должен быть связан с экономической частью и при создании рекомендаций учитывать конъюнктуру рынка и прогнозные данные. В случае низкой закупочной цены на продукцию рекомендовать применять или не применять определенные агротехнические операции (скажем удобрение по вегетации), кроме того, корректировать их в случае существенного изменения условий выращивания – когда применение этих элементов технологии будет неэффективно за счет негативного воздействия других факторов. Establish compliance of heat and moisture resources to biological requirements of sunflower hybrids (Helianthus annuus), reveal criteria for assessing weather conditions in the northern regions of Ukraine; establish links between temperature, precipitation and yield. Methods. Field and mathematical methods were used. Field multifactorial experiment was conducted during 2016–2018 in the Left Bank of Ukraine, on the border of two soil and climatic zones of Ukraine - Forest-Steppe and Polissya. Peculiarities of plant growth and development, formation of "hybrids" yield (factor A) were studied: 'Ukrainskyi F1', 'P63LL06', 'NK Brio', 'NK Ferti' depending on "plant density" (factor B): 50, 55 , 60, 65 thousand pieces/hectare. We calculated and analyzed the sums of active, effective temperatures for two biological minima - 5 and 10 ° C; the sum of thermal units according to the method of Brown and Bootsma, 1993; coefficients of materiality of elements deviations of the agrometeorological mode of the current year from long-term averages; plasticity and yield stability according to the method of Eberthart S.A., Russel W.Q. (1966). Results. To pass the full cycle of sunflower plants development, the sum of active temperatures (t = 10 °C) for hybrid 'Ukrainskyi F1' – 2354.6; P63LL06 – 2306.4; 'NK Brio' – 2401.3; 'NK Ferti' – 2379.7; and the sum of effective temperatures for 'Ukrainskyi F1'- 1081.5; 'P63LL06' – 1056.9; 'NK Brio' – 1104.9; 'NK Ferti' – 1109.1 is required. The sum of temperatures, both at a biological minimum temperature 10 °C and 5 °C, meet biological needs of sunflower plants and is not a limiting factor for this crop growing. The sum of thermal units for the period April–October is 3780 on average for three years. During the period of active sunflower vegetation (April–August) the sum of thermal units is 2868–3258, significantly exceeding the sum of active and effective temperatures at biologically active temperatures 5 °С and 10 °С. The most determined limits of changes in active, effective temperatures and thermal units were observed in May – September. Conclusions. Plasticity and stability of sunflower yield more depending on hybrid and plants density than on conditions of the year. Yield stability coefficient for hybrid 'Ukrainskyi F1' was 1.68 - 2.30; 'P63LL06'- 2.51 - 3.14; 'NK Brio'- 3.15 - 4.63; 'NK Ferti' - 2.70 - 3.75 for yields, respectively: 2.16 - 3.11; 2.58 - 3.52; 3.20 - 4.12; 2.70 - 3.79 t/ha.

To pass the full cycle of sunflower plants development, the sum of active temperatures (t = 10 °C) for hybrid 'Ukrainskyi F1' – 2354.6; P63LL06 – 2306.4; 'NK Brio' – 2401.3; 'NK Ferti' – 2379.7; and the sum of effective temperatures for 'Ukrainskyi F1'- 1081.5; 'P63LL06' – 1056.9; 'NK Brio' – 1104.9; 'NK Ferti' – 1109.1 is required. The sum of temperatures, both at a biological minimum temperature 10 °C and 5 °C, meet biological needs of sunflower plants and is not a limiting factor for this crop growing. The sum of thermal units for the period April–October is 3780 on average for three years. During the period of active sunflower vegetation (April–August) the sum of thermal units is 2868–3258, significantly exceeding the sum of active and effective temperatures at biologically active temperatures 5 °С and 10 °С. The most determined limits of changes in active, effective temperatures and thermal units were observed in May – September.Conclusions. Plasticity and stability of sunflower yield more depending on hybrid and plants density than on conditions of the year. Yield stability coefficient for hybrid 'Ukrainskyi F1' was 1.68 - 2.30; 'P63LL06'- 2.51 - 3.14; 'NK Brio'- 3.15 - 4.63; 'NK Ferti' - 2.70 - 3.75 for yields, respectively: 2.16 - 3.11; 2.58 - 3.52; 3.20 - 4.12; 2.70 - 3.79 t/ha. | Мета. Встановити відповідність ресурсів тепла та вологи біологічним вимогам гібридів соняшнику (Helianthus annuus L.); встановити критеріальні показники оцінювання погодних умов в північних регіонах України; встановити зв’язки між температурним режимом, сумою опадів та врожайністю.Методи. Використовували польовий та математичний методи. Польовий багатофакторний дослід проводили в 2016–2018 роках в Лівобережному Лісостепу України на межі двох ґрунтово-кліматичних зон – Лісостепу і Полісся. Досліджували особливості росту та розвитку рослин, формування врожайності «гібридів» (фактор А) ‘Український F1’, ‘Р63LL06’, ‘НК Бріо’, ‘НК Ферті’ залежно від «густоти рослин» (фактор В): 50, 55, 60, 65 тис. шт./га. Розраховували й аналізували суми активних та ефективних температур за двома біологічними мінімумами – 5 і 10 °С; суми теплових одиниць за методикою Brown and Bootsma (1993); коефіцієнти суттєвості відхилень елементів погоди поточного року від середніх багаторічних; пластичність і стабільність урожайності за методикою Eberthart S. A., Russel W. Q. (1966).Результати. Для проходження повного циклу розвитку рослин соняшнику необхідна сума активних температур (tб.м. = 10 °C) для гібрида ‘Український F1’ – 2354,6; ‘Р63LL06’ – 2306,4; ‘НК Бріо’ – 2401,3; ‘НК Ферті’ – 2379,7; сума ефективних температур: ‘Український F1’ – 1081,5; ‘Р63LL06’ – 1056,9; ‘НК Бріо’ – 1104,9; ‘НК Ферті’ – 1109,1. Суми температур як за температурою біологічного мінімуму 10 °C, так і 5 °C, відповідають біологічним потребам рослин соняшнику і не є обмежувальним чинником для вирощування. Сума теплових одиниць за період квітень–жовтень складала в середньому за три роки 3780. За період активної вегетації соняшнику (квітень–серпень) сума теплових одиниць складала 2868–3258, суттєво перевищуючи суму активних та ефективних температур за біологічно активних температур 5 °С і 10 °С. Найбільш детерміновані межі змін активних, ефективних температур і теплових одиниць спостерігали в період травень–вересень.Висновки. Пластичність і стабільність урожайності соняшнику більше змінюються залежно від гібрида і густоти рослин, ніж від умов року. Коефіцієнт стабільності врожайності для гібрида ‘Український F1’ склав 1,68–2,30; ‘Р63LL06’ – 2,51–3,14; ‘НК Бріо’ – 3,15–4,63; ‘НК Ферті’ – 2,70–3,75 за урожайності 2,16–3,11; 2,58–3,52; 3,20–4,12; 2,70–3,79 т/га, відповідно. | Цель. Установить соответствие ресурсов тепла и влаги биологическим потребностям гибридов подсолнечника (Helianthus annuus L.); установить критериальные показатели оценивания погодных условий в северных регионах Украины; установить связь между температурным режимом, осадками и урожайностью.Методы. Использовали полевой и математический методы. Полевой многофакторный опыт проводили в 2016–2018 годах в Левобережной Лесостепи Украины. Для прохождения полного цикла развития растений подсолнечника, необходима сумма активных температур (tб.м. = 10 °C) для гибрида ‘Украинский F1’ – 2355; ‘Р63LL06’ – 2306; ‘НК Брио’ – 2401; ‘НК Ферти’ – 2380; сумма эффективных температур: ‘Украинский F1’ – 1082; ‘Р63LL06’ – 1057; ‘НК Брио’ – 1104,9; ‘НК Ферти’ – 1109. Суммы температур как при биологическом минимуме 10 °C, так и 5 °C, соответствуют биологическим требованиям растений подсолнечника и не являются лимитирующим фактором для выращивания. Сумма тепловых единиц за период апрель–октябрь составляла в среднем за три года – 3780. В период активной вегетации подсолнечника (апрель–август) сумма тепловых единиц составляла 2868–3258 и существенно превышала сумму активных и эффективных температур при биологически активных температурах 5 °С и 10 °С. Наиболее детерминированные границы изменений активных, эффективных температур и тепловых единиц наблюдали в мае–сентябре.Выводы. Пластичность и стабильность урожайности подсолнечника больше изменяются в зависимости от гибрида и густоты стояния растений, чем от погодных условий года. Коэффициент стабильности урожайности для гибрида ‘Украинский F1’ составил 1,68–2,30; ‘Р63LL06’ – 2,51–3,14; ‘НК Брио’ – 3,15–4,63; ‘НК Ферти’ – 2,70–3,75 при урожайности 2,16–3,11; 2,58–3,52; 3,20–4,12; 2,70–3,79 т/га соответственно.

Її можна подолати дотриманням норм літературної української мови та Правил номенклатури, таксономії та культономії рослин.

Purpose. To analyse of the denomination practice of the main species and subspecies of wheat.Results. Modern systems of the genus Triticum are based on different morphological and genetic criteria, and number from 7 (10) to 27 species. In Ukraine there are cultivated species and subspecies: common wheat (T. aestivum), dwarf wheat (T. aestivum subsp. sphaerococcum; T. sphaerococcum), club wheat (T. aestivum subsp. compactum; T. compactum), spelt (T. aestivum subsp. spelta; T. spelta), einkorn (T. monococcum L.), durum (T. durum; T. turgidum subsp. durum), Persian wheat (T. carthlicum; T. turgidum subsp. carthlicum, T. persicum), Polish wheat (T. polonicum, T. turgidum subsp. polonicum), and emmer (T. turgidum subsp. dicoccon), or Farro wheat (T. farrum, T. dicoccon, T. dicoccum). Next to the system of botanical names, there is an agrobiological one, which is based on the crop names, but is less ordered. Historically, it, like the botanical one, arose from the trivial names of plants, but was formed spontaneously and still remains unnormalized and unsystematic. Because of this, the same taxon may have more than a dozen names that are used by different authors in agronomy. At the same time, the correct translation of the species name T. aestivum – pshenytsia litnia (in Ukrainian) is found in only one source out of fourteen analyzed. The translation of Latin subspecies level trinomials by Ukrainian binomials smooths the differences between the morphological and genetic systems of the genus Triticum. In the scientific style of the Ukrainian language, the direct word order dominates in which the adjective precedes the noun, with the exception of the scientific species names of plants. This makes it easy to distinguish names that refer to different terminological systems. "Tverda pshenytsia" (in Ukrainian) is the crop name in the agrobiological nomenclature, and "pshenytsia tverda" (in Ukrainian) is the species name in the botanical nomenclature.Conclusions. Due to the processing of etymology, the Ukrainian scientific names of the main wheat taxa, which correspond to the original Latin names, are streamlined. In an unorganized agrobiological system of names of agricultural plants, a mixture of botanical names of taxa and crop names is used, which sometimes coincide to some extent. The crop names and the names of taxa differ from each other, respectively, direct and reverse word order in Ukrainian language. An erroneous or unconscious substitution of some names with others and neglect of the rules of the Ukrainian language leads to undesirable confusion. It can be overcome on the basis of observance of the standards of the literary Ukrainian language and the Rules of Plant Nomenclature, Taxonomy and Cultonomy. | Мета. Вследствие обработки этимологии упорядочены украинские научные названия основных таксонов пшеницы, которые отвечают оригинальным латинским названиям. В неорганизованной агробиологической системе названий сельскохозяйственных растений используют смесь ботанических названий таксонов и названий культур, которые иногда в той или иной степени совпадают. Названия культур и названия таксонов различаются между собой, соответственно прямым и обратным порядком слов. Ошибочная или неосознанная подмена одних названий другими и пренебрежение к правилам украинского языка приводит к нежелательной путанице. Ее можно преодолеть соблюдая нормы литературного украинского языка и Правила номенклатуры, таксономии и культономии растений.

Мета. Оцінити сорти гречки їстівної Fagopyrum esculentum Moench за морфологічними ознаками з використанням алгоритму найближчих сусідів за допомогою кластеризації сортів рослин та ідентифікувати групи схожих сортів. Методи. Аналітичний, математичний, статистичний. Як вхідну інформацію для статистичного оброблення було використано результатні дані експертизи на відмінність, однорідність та стабільність (ВОС) з бази даних автоматизованої інформаційної системи Українського інституту експертизи сортів рослин. Моделювання було проведено з використанням алгоритму найближчих сусідів, методом Machine Learning у середовищі статистичного пакета IBM SPSS Statistics «Statistical Package for the Social Sciences». У ролі параметрів моделі було використано такі типи змінних: цільова змінна – ознака «Рослина: тип росту», фокусна змінна – «Рослина: плоїдність», мітка спостережень – «Назва сор­ту». Перелік показників (features) складали такі ознаки: «Рослина: плоїдність», «Стебло: антоціанове забарвлення», «Суцвіття: антоціанове забарвлення бруньки», «Час початку цвітіння», «Рослина: тип росту», «Рослина: за висотою», «Квітка: забарвлення пелюсток», «Стебло: за довжиною», «Стебло: кількість вузлів», «Стебло: діаметр», «Час достигання», «Насінина: за довжиною», «Насінина: форма», «Насінина: забарвлення шкірки», «Насіння: маса 1000 шт.». До складу моделі було узято 25 сортів гречки їстівної вітчизняного та іноземного походження, які включені до Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні на 2020 рік. Результати. Унаслідок комп’ютерного моделювання було сформовано модель подібних сортів гречки їстівної за сімнадцятьма морфологічними ознаками, які відібрано із застосуванням частотного аналізу проявлення морфологічних ознак. Сформована модель містила 17 тренувальних об’єктів (сортів) та дев’ять контрольних об’єктів (сортів). Було ідентифіковано 22 групи подібних сортів гречки їстівної. Висновки. Сорти гречки їстівної F. esculentum було оцінено за морфологічними ознаками з використанням алгоритму найближчих сусідів за допомогою кластеризації подібних сортів рослин. Було ідентифіковано такі найподібніші групи сортів: перша – ‘Крупнозелена’, ‘Дикуль’, ‘Дев’ятка’ та ‘Ювілейна 100’; друга – ‘Рута’, ‘Мальва’, ‘Надійна’ та ‘Володар’; третя – ‘Ксенія’, ‘Сімка’, ‘Селяночка’ та ‘Мальва’.

Acca sellowiana (Myrtaceae), feijoa (in Brazil, goiaba da serra), is a native southern South America tree that produces edible fruits which, although only occasionally cultivated in South America, became a significant fruit crop in New Zealand. Recently, during surveys for fungal pathogens of feijoa in southern Brazil, several plants were found bearing tar-spot symptoms caused by a species of Phyllachora. A literature search enabled us to identify the fungus as Phyllachora feijoae, a little-known species originally described in the 19th century by H. Rehm and later transferred to the genus Catacauma. The name Catacauma feijoae, although now regarded as a later synonym of P. feijoae is still mistakenly in use (as, for instance, in the Brazilian list of fungi on plants). The type specimen was most probably deposited in the Botanisches Garten und Museum Berlin-Dahlem (B) and lost or destroyed during World War II, and could not be located. The recent recollection of abundant material of this fungus in the vicinity of Pelotas (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) allowed its re-examination and neotypification. Phyllachora feijoae is also illustrated here for the first time.

Based on the study of consumer qualities of perspective potato hybrids (Solanum tuberosum L.) the ones with a high degree of differentiation depending on the biochemical composition of tubers and culinary-consumer type were identified. Methods. Field (phenology); laboratory (biochemical, technological); mathematical and statistical (linear correlation, regression). Results. Consumer qualities and patterns of their formation under the influence of the biochemical composition of tubers were studied. Excellent taste was determined in mid-early (‘203.703-3’, ‘205.781-9’), mid-season (‘205.786-72’, ‘205. 798-15’) hybrids. High cooking quality of the tubers was detected in early-season hybrids (‘99.523-15’, ‘205.791-3’, ‘205.785-25’, ‘205.792-205’). Soft crispy texture was detected in mid-early (‘205.776-25’, ‘99.546-3’) and mid-season (‘205.782-24’, ‘205.786-72’, ‘205.798-43’) hybrids. The mid-early hybrid '205.780-8' contained high levels of starch. In terms of resistance to browning, three early-season (‘99.517-39’, ‘203.703-2’, ‘205.785-25’) and two mid-season hybrids (‘205.781-9’, ‘205.788-3’) were selected.  It is proved, that the taste development depended on the starch content (r=0,657), proportion of starch/protein (r=0,470) and sugars accumulation (r= -450). The positive dependence of the cooking quality of the tubers on their starchiness (r=0,945), proportion of starch and protein (r=0,900) was detected. The influence of proportion of starch/protein over the texture of the tubers (r=0,877) and starch content (r=0,868) was established. Mealiness depended on sugars (r= -0,494) and starch content (r=0,474), resistance to browning – on tyrosine content in protein (r=-0,873) and free tyrosine content (r= - 0,824). In terms of culinary and consumer type of food (table) potatoes, eight hybrids were rated as type B, five and five hybrids belonged to types A and C respectively, and three hybrids belonged to type D. Conclusions. The selected, as for the high level of culinary quality indicators, hybrids can be recommended as valuable output material for practical plant breeding. Determination of biological interrelation of potato culinary quality indicators and biochemical composition of their tubers allowed to develop mathematical simulations to predict taste and texture, and it practically relieved from boiling and subjective evaluation by organoleptic method of tasting results. Systematization of culinary and consumer type food (table) potatoes can be a subject matter in the course of state variety testing.

Determination of biological interrelation of potato culinary quality indicators and biochemical composition of their tubers allowed to develop mathematical simulations to predict taste and texture, and it practically relieved from boiling and subjective evaluation by organoleptic method of tasting results. Systematization of culinary and consumer type food (table) potatoes can be a subject matter in the course of state variety testing. | Цель. На основе исследования потребительских качеств перспективных гибридов картофеля (Solanum tuberosum L.) выделить гибриды, имеющие высокую степень дифференциации в зависимости от биохимического состава клубней и кулинарно-потребительского типа.Методы. Полевой (фенология); лабораторный (биохимические, технологические); математически-статистический (линейная корреляция, регрессия).Результаты. Исследовали потребительские качества и изучали закономерности их формирования под влиянием биохимического состава клубней. Отличный вкус был определён у среднеранних (‘203.703-3’, ‘205.781-9’) и среднеспелых (‘205.786-72’, ‘205 798-15’) гибридов. Высокую устойчивость к развариванию клубней было установлено у раннеспелых гибридов (‘99.523-15’, ‘205.791-3’, ‘205.785-25’, ‘205.792-205’). Мягкая рассыпчатая консистенция была характерна для среднеранних (‘205.776-2’, ‘99.546-3’) и среднеспелых (‘205.782-24’, ‘205.786-72’, ‘205.798-43’) форм. Среднеранний гибрид ‘205.780-8’ имел высокую степень проявления мучнистости. Устойчивость к потемнению имели три раннеспелых (‘99 .517-39’, ‘203.703-2’, ‘205.785-25’) и два среднеспелых гибрида (‘205.781-9’, ‘205.788-3’). Формирование вкуса зависело в основном от содержания крахмала (r = 0,657), соотношения крахмал / белок (r = 0,470) и накопления сахаров (r = -450). Была обнаружена сильная положительная зависимость разваривания клубней от их крахмалистости (r = 0,945), соотношения содержания крахмала и белка (r = 0,900). Определено влияние соотношения крахмал / белок на консистенцию клубней (r = 0,877) и содержания в них крахмала (r = 0,868). Мучнистость зависела от сахаров (r = -0,494) и крахмалистости клубней (r = 0,474), устойчивость к потемнению мякоти – от содержания тирозина в белке (r = -0,873) и свободного тирозина (r = - 0,824). По кулинарно-потребительскому типу столового картофеля восемь гибридов было отнесено к типу В, по пять – к типу А и С, три – к типу Д.Выводы. Выделенные гибриды с высокой степенью проявления показателей потребительского качества могут быть рекомендованы как ценный исходный материал для практической селекции. Определение биологической взаимосвязи показателей качества картофеля и биохимического состава их клубней позволило разработать математические модели для прогнозирования вкуса и текстуры, что практически освобождает от варки и субъективной оценки органолептическим методом результатов дегустации. Систематизация кулинарно-потребительского типа картофеля столового назначения может быть предметом обсуждения в государственном сортоиспытании. | Мета. На основі дослідження споживчої якості перспективних гібридів картоплі (Solanum tuberosum L.) виділити гібриди з високим ступенем диференціації залежно від біохімічного складу бульб та кулінарно-споживчого типу.Методи. Досліджували кулінарні якості та вивчали закономірності їхнього формування під впливом біохімічного складу бульб. М’якою консистенцією характеризувалися середньоранні (‘205.776-25’, ‘99.546-3’) і середньостиглі (‘205.782-24’, ‘205.786-72’, ‘205.798-43’) форми. Середньоранній гібрид ‘205.780-8’ мав вищий ступінь проявлення борошнистості. За стійкістю до потемніння м’якоті було виділено три ранньостиглих (‘99.517-39’, ‘203.703-2’, ‘205.785-25’) і два середньостиглих гібриди (‘205.781-9’, ‘205.788-3’). Формування смаку залежало здебільшого від умісту крохмалю (r = 0,657), співвідношення крохмаль / білок (r = 0,470) і накопичення цукрів (r = -450). Було виявлено сильну позитивну залежність розварювання бульб від їхньої крохмалистості (r = 0,945) та співвідношення вмісту крохмалю і білка (r = 0,900). Визначено вплив співвідношення кромаль / білок на консистенцію бульб (r = 0,877) та вміст крохмалю (r = 0,868). Борошнистість залежала від умісту цукрів (r = -0,494) та крохмалистості бульб (r = 0,474), стійкість до потемніння м’якоті – від умісту тирозину у білку (r = -0,873), вільного тирозину (r = -0,824). За кулінарно-споживчим типом столової картоплі вісім гібридів було віднесено до типу В, по п’ять – до типів А і С, три – до типу Д.Висновки. Виділені гібриди за високим ступенем проявлення показників кулінарної якості можуть бути рекомендовані як цінний вихідний матеріал для практичної селекції. Встановлення біологічного взаємозв’язку показників кулінарної якості картоплі і біохімічного складу їхніх бульб дозволило розробити математичні моделі для прогнозування смаку і текстури, що практично звільняє від варіння та суб’єктивного оцінювання органолептичним методом результатів дегустації. Систематизація кулінарно-споживчого типу картоплі столового призначення може бути предметом обговорення за державного сортовипробування.

Purpose. Based on the study of consumer qualities of perspective potato hybrids (Solanum tuberosum L.) the ones with a high degree of differentiation depending on the biochemical composition of tubers and culinary-consumer type were identified. Methods. Field (phenology); laboratory (biochemical, technological); mathematical and statistical (linear correlation, regression). Results. Consumer qualities and patterns of their formation under the influence of the biochemical composition of tubers were studied. Excellent taste was determined in mid-early (‘203.703-3’, ‘205.781-9’), mid-season (‘205.786-72’, ‘205. 798-15’) hybrids. High cooking quality of the tubers was detected in early-season hybrids (‘99.523-15’, ‘205.791-3’, ‘205.785-25’, ‘205.792-205’). Soft crispy texture was detected in mid-early (‘205.776-25’, ‘99.546-3’) and mid-season (‘205.782-24’, ‘205.786-72’, ‘205.798-43’) hybrids. The mid-early hybrid '205.780-8' contained high levels of starch. In terms of resistance to browning, three early-season (‘99.517-39’, ‘203.703-2’, ‘205.785-25’) and two mid-season hybrids (‘205.781-9’, ‘205.788-3’) were selected. It is proved, that the taste development depended on the starch content (r=0,657), proportion of starch/protein (r=0,470) and sugars accumulation (r= -450). The positive dependence of the cooking quality of the tubers on their starchiness (r=0,945), proportion of starch and protein (r=0,900) was detected. The influence of proportion of starch/protein over the texture of the tubers (r=0,877) and starch content (r=0,868) was established. Mealiness depended on sugars (r= -0,494) and starch content (r=0,474), resistance to browning – on tyrosine content in protein (r=-0,873) and free tyrosine content (r= - 0,824). In terms of culinary and consumer type of food (table) potatoes, eight hybrids were rated as type B, five and five hybrids belonged to types A and C respectively, and three hybrids belonged to type D. Conclusions. The selected, as for the high level of culinary quality indicators, hybrids can be recommended as valuable output material for practical plant breeding. Purpose. To estimate the growth performance of poplar and willows clones on the 2nd vegetation year at short rotation plantation in the Kharkiv region, and to identify the most perspective clones for the establishing of bioenergy plantations. Methods. The growth characteristics of 2-year-old poplars (10 clones) and willows (3 clones) were analyzed on experimental plot established in 2014 due to common practice, with stem cuttings 20–25 cm long and 0.8–1.2 cm in diameter. During the analysis performed in October, diameter and height of the shoots were measured and the quantity of plants with 1, 2, and ≤ 3 shoots per plant was determined. Results. The investigations revealed significant interclonal variation in estimated growth parameters on the second vegetation year. The poplar clones ‘Huliver’, ‘Strilopodibna’, ‘Rohanska’, ‘Slava Ukrainy’ and willow clone ‘Pryberezhna’ demonstrated high growth rates. The shoot height of poplars ‘Rohanska’ and ‘Slava Ukrainy’ were 30% and 42% respectively, higher than average rates after two years of cultivation. The clones of poplars ‘Huliver’, ‘Strilopodibna’, and clone of willow ‘Pryberezhna’ had the largest diameters exceeded the average rates more than 20%. Poplars ‘Constanta’, ‘Lvivska’ and ‘Noctiurn’ demonstrated low growth. By the sprouting capacity the clones were divided into two groups: with a high level of sprouting capacity increasing significantly during the second growing season (‘Huliver’, ‘Rohanska’, ‘Druzhba’); and with low sprouting capacity within both vegetation seasons (‘Constanta’, ‘Noctiurn’ and ‘Lvivska’). In general, a comparison of the averaged growth parameters of poplars and willows revealed that the willows prevailed the poplars in height, but no significant differences in diameter and sprouting capacity were observed. Conclusions. The poplars ‘Huliver’, ‘Strilopo­dibna’, ‘Rohanska’, ‘Slava Ukrainy’ and the willow ‘Pryberezhna’ demonstrated high growth values, and poplar clones ‘Huliver’, ‘Rohanska’ and ‘Druzhba’ showed a high level of sprouting capacity. During the two growing seasons the clones of poplars ‘Constanta’, ‘Lvivska’ and ‘Noctiurn’ showed low growth rates and sprouting capacity. The results of experiments could be taken into account when establishing short-rotation plantations of bioenergy trees, in particular on plots without artificial irrigation.

Мета. Встановити особливості росту й розвитку клонів тополь та верб на 2-й рік вегетації на випробній короткоротаційній плантації в Харківській області та виявити найперспективніші клони для створення біоенергетичних плантацій. Методи. На ділянці досліджували ростові характеристики 2-річних тополь – 10 клонів та верб – 3 клони. Обміри проводили на плантації, яку було закладено у 2014 році стебловими живцями довжиною 20–25 см і товщиною 0,8–1,2 см за загальноприйнятою методикою. Під час обліку, який проводили в жовтні, оцінювали біометричні характеристики – товщину і висоту пагонів та визначали кількість рослин з 1, 2 і ≥ 3 пагонами на одну рослину. Результати.  На 2-й рік вегетації клони значно відрізнялись за ростовими параметрами. Високі показники ростової активності було виявлено у тополь ‘Гулівер’, ‘Стрілоподібна’, ‘Роганська’, ‘Слава України’ та верби ‘Прибережна’. Так, тополі ‘Роганська’ та ‘Слава України’ після двох років вирощування за приростом пагона у висоту перевищували середні рівні на 30% та 42%, відповідно. Клони тополь ‘Гулівер’ і ‘Стрілоподібна’ та клон верби ‘Прибережна’ характеризувались найбільшим діаметром пагона та перевищували за цим показником середньорічні рівні більше ніж на 20%. Клони тополь ‘Константа’, ‘Львівська’ і ‘Ноктюрн’ показали слабкі ростові показники. За здатністю до кущення у тополь було виокремлено дві відмінні групи клонів: із високим рівнем кущистості, яка значно збільшувалась у другому вегетаційному сезоні (клони ‘Гулівер’, ‘Роганська’, ‘Дружба’) та клони, кущистість яких була незначною протягом обох сезонів вегетації (клони ‘Константа’, ‘Ноктюрн’ та ‘Львівська’). Загалом, порівняння усереднених ростових показників тополь і верб виявило, що верби переважали тополі за висотою, а достовірних відмінностей за діаметром та кущистістю не спостерігалось. Висновки. Високі показники ростової активності на другий рік вирощування було виявлено у тополь ‘Гулівер’, ‘Стрілоподібна’, ‘Роганська’, ‘Слава України’ та верби ‘Прибережна’, а клони ‘Гулівер’, ‘Роганська’ і ‘Дружба’ продемонстрували найвищий рівень кущистості. Протягом двох вегетаційних сезонів клони тополь ‘Константа’, ‘Львівська’ і ‘Ноктюрн’ демонстрували слабкі ростові показники та низький рівень кущистості. Результати проведених досліджень важливо враховувати при створенні короткоротаційних плантацій біоенергетичних дерев, зокрема на ділянках без штучного зволоження. | Purpose. Установить особенности роста и развития клонов тополей и ив на 2-й год вегетации на испытательной короткоротационной плантации в Харьковской области и выявить наиболее перспективные клоны для создания биоэнергетических плантаций.Методы. На участке исследовали ростовые характеристики 2-летних тополей – 10 клонов и ив – 3 клона. Измерения проводили на плантации, заложенной в 2014 году стеблевыми черенками длиной 20–25 см и толщиной 0,8–1,2 см по общепринятой методике. Во время учета, проводимого в октябре, оценивали биометрические характеристики – толщину и высоту побегов и определяли количество растений, имеющих 1, 2 и ≥ 3 побегов на одно растение.Результаты. На второй год вегетации клоны существенно отличались по ростовым параметрам. Высокие показатели ростовой активности были обнаружены у тополей ‘Гулівер’, ‘Стрілоподібна’, ‘Роганська’, ‘Слава України’ и ивы ‘Прибережна’. Так, тополя ‘Роганська’ и ‘Слава України’ после двух лет выращивания по приросту побега в высоту превышали средние уровни на 30% и 42%, соответственно. Клоны тополей ‘Гулівер’ и ‘Стрілоподібна’ и клон ивы ‘Прибережна’ характеризовались наибольшим диаметром побега и превышали по этому показателю среднегодовой уровень более чем на 20%. Клоны тополей ‘Константа’, ‘Львівська’ и ‘Ноктюрн’ показали слабые ростовые показатели. По способности к кущению у тополей выделены две различные группы клонов: с высоким уровнем кустистости, которая значительно увеличивалась во втором вегетационном сезоне (клоны ‘Гулівер’, ‘Роганська’, ‘Дружба’) и клоны с незначительной кустистостью на протяжении двух сезонов (клоны ‘Константа’, ‘Ноктюрн’ и ‘Львівська’). В целом, сравнение усредненных ростовых показателей тополей и ив показало, что ивы превосходили тополя по росту в высоту, но при этом достоверных различий между ними по показателям диаметра и кустистости не наблюдалось.Выводы. Высокие показатели ростовой активности на второй год выращивания обнаружены у тополей ‘Гулівер’, ‘Стрілоподібна’, ‘Роганська’, ‘Слава Україна’ и ивы ‘Прибережна’, а клоны ‘Гулівер’, ‘Роганська’ и ‘Дружба’ продемонстрировали наиболее высокие уровни кустистости. В течение двух вегетационных сезонов клоны тополей ‘Константа’, ‘Львівська’ и ‘Ноктюрн’ показали слабые ростовые показатели и низкий уровень кустистости. Результаты проведенных исследований важно учитывать при создании короткоротационных плантаций биоэнергетических деревьев, в особенности на участках без искусственного полива.

Purpose. Identification of soft winter wheat varieties and lines from the Plant Production Institute nd. a. V. Ya. Yuryev, NAAS by allelic state of Pina–D1 and Pinb-D1 genes for targeted use in the breeding for high confectionery properties of flour. Methods. Identification of the Pina-D1 and Pinb-D1 genes allelic state was performed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using allele-specific primer pairs. Confectionery properties of flour were evaluated by determining the quality indicators: the water absorption capacity (WAC) of the flour, trial baking of cookies and evaluation of its quality. Results. According to the results of PCR analysis, 9 samples had an allelic composition of puroindoline genes (Pina-D1a and Pinb-D1a) characteristic for soft-grained varieties. Flour of the lines 'L137-26-0-2', 'L137-26-0-3' had the best confectionery properties, it had a WAC value less than 55%, cookies diameter 85 mm, cookies height 10 mm, estimation of a surface of cookies 7– 9 points, what meets the requirements for soft-grained wheat. 76% of the samples belonged to hard-grained varieties and had the corresponding alleles of the Pina-D1 or Pinb-D1 genes. In the studied sample, Pina-D1 gene is represented by 2 alleles: Pina-D1a and Pina-D1b. 27 samples had Pina-D1a allele, which also allows them to be used in breeding programs for grain quality when crossed with soft samples, 4 ones had Pina-D1b allele. As to Pinb-D1 gene, all hard grain samples had Pinb-D1b allele, and the 'Erythrospermum S 424-1 / 14' line was heterogeneous for Pinb-D1a / Pinb-D1b. The flour of these samples had typical for hard wheat quality indicators: WAC 68% and more, cookie diameter of 60–72 mm, cookie height of 13–15 mm, the surface evaluation of 1–4 points. Conclusions. The studies allowed to differentiate the breeding material  and transfer a soft winter wheat cultivar of a confectionery use 'L137-26-0-3' ('Mazurok') which has an allelic structure of puroindolins genes (Pina-D1a and Pinb-D1a) characteristic for soft-grained varieties and high confectionery flour properties for qualification examination.

Collectively, these changes are the most fundamental to have been enacted at single Congress since the 1950s, and herald the dawn of a new era in the practice of fungal nomenclature.

Purpose. Identifying the features of the seasonal growth rhythm, development of the plants, morphological and biological differences in monoecious introduced and domestic varieties of Cannabis sativa L. in the North-east region of Ukraine. Methods. The research was conducted from 2014 till 2019. The following research methods were employed: field (phenological observations, sampling for laboratory analysis), microscopic (study of the morphological structure of glandular and cystolithic hairs on vegetative and generative organs, determination of the size and density of hair formation), laboratory and analytical (determination of the content of cannabinoid substances by thin layer and gas-liquid chromatography), biomorphological me­thods (analysis of morphological characteristics of plants). Chemical analysis for the content of cannabinoid substan­ces was carried out in the laboratory of the breeding and seed production department of the Institute of Bast Crops of the NAAS of Ukraine (Glukhiv, 2014–2019). The content of neutral substances [cannabinol (CBN), cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)] and acids (CBDA, THCA) was determined by using a thin layer chromatography (TLC) and gas-liquid chromatography (GLC) methods. For the study, 11 monoecious varieties of C. sativa: ‘YuSO 1’, ‘YuSO 31’, ‘Hliana’, ‘Viktoriia’, ‘Hlesiia’, ‘Hlukhivskyi 46’, ‘Hlukhivski 51’, ‘Zoloto­niski 15’ and 3 introduced varieties: ‘Fedora 17’, ‘Felina 32’, ‘Futura 77’ (France) which differed among themselves in morphological, biological, genetic, ecological-geographical and economically valuable characteristics were selected. Results. Biological and morphological characteristics of modern monoecious varieties of C. sativa were investigated depending on the ecological and geographical zones of origin, conditions of the growing season and the stage of ontogenesis. The functional interdependence between the formation of specialized excretory structures and the content of cannabinoid substances in plants of different varieties of C. sa­tiva  was revealed. The following promising varieties of C. sativa in a ration of ((THC + CBN) ≤ CBD) point the possibility to use them as the source material for creating the medicinal varie­ties of plants with a high content of CBD. Conclusions. Nowadays C. sativa is the main source of phyto material for industrial production of natural CBD. In recent years, high-yielding varieties of C. sativa have been created, which, together with high commercially valuable traits, did not contain psychoactive THC and had an insignificant amount of CBD. The results of the research indicated the features of the seasonal growth rhythm, development of the plants and the morphological and biological features of modern monoecious introduced and domestic varieties of C. sativa in the North-east region of Ukraine. The low correlation between the content of cannabinoid substances and their acids in varieties, which are cha­racterized by the low content of cannabinoid compounds was established. According to the developed own classification (THC + KBN): CBD, varieties with a predominant CBD content ‘Hlukhivskyi 46’, ‘Zolotoniski 15’, ‘Hliana’ which are of significant medicinal value were identified.

The content of neutral substances [cannabinol (CBN), cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)] and acids (CBDA, THCA) was determined by using a thin layer chromatography (TLC) and gas-liquid chromatography (GLC) methods. For the study, 11 monoecious varieties of C. sativa: ‘YuSO 1’, ‘YuSO 31’, ‘Hliana’, ‘Viktoriia’, ‘Hlesiia’, ‘Hlukhivskyi 46’, ‘Hlukhivski 51’, ‘Zoloto­niski 15’ and 3 introduced varieties: ‘Fedora 17’, ‘Felina 32’, ‘Futura 77’ (France) which differed among themselves in morphological, biological, genetic, ecological-geographical and economically valuable characteristics were selected. Results. Biological and morphological characteristics of modern monoecious varieties of C. sativa were investigated depending on the ecological and geographical zones of origin, conditions of the growing season and the stage of ontogenesis. The functional interdependence between the formation of specialized excretory structures and the content of cannabinoid substances in plants of different varieties of C. sa­tiva was revealed. The following promising varieties of C. sativa in a ration of ((THC + CBN) ≤ CBD) point the possibility to use them as the source material for creating the medicinal varie­ties of plants with a high content of CBD. Conclusions. Nowadays C. sativa is the main source of phyto material for industrial production of natural CBD. In recent years, high-yielding varieties of C. sativa have been created, which, together with high commercially valuable traits, did not contain psychoactive THC and had an insignificant amount of CBD. The results of the research indicated the features of the seasonal growth rhythm, development of the plants and the morphological and biological features of modern monoecious introduced and domestic varieties of C. sativa in the North-east region of Ukraine. The low correlation between the content of cannabinoid substances and their acids in varieties, which are cha­racterized by the low content of cannabinoid compounds was established. According to the developed own classification (THC + KBN): CBD, varieties with a predominant CBD content ‘Hlukhivskyi 46’, ‘Zolotoniski 15’, ‘Hliana’ which are of significant medicinal value were identified.

Purpose. Investigate the drought tolerance of woody vines of Ampelopsis Michx and Parthenocissus Planch. genera introduced in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine on the specificity of leaf surface anatomical and morphological structure, peculiarities of water regime of the leaves and characteristics of physicochemical processes inside their tissues during wilting. Methods. Field surveys, morphometric, physiological, statistical. Results. The drought resistance of woody vines of the Ampelopsis and Parthenocissus genera of the Vitaceae family collection at the M. M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden collection site “Climbing plants” was studied. According to visual observations, during periods with a low level of moisture supply, there was no damage to leaves, turgor did not decrease. The main differences in the structure of the abaxial epidermal surface of woody vine leaves of the Ampelopsis and Parthenocissus genera are in the form of epidermal cells and a number of stomata. The electrical conductivity of the leaves of all the studied plants decreased stably during wilting (on average, by 0.12–0.19 mcS in two hours of wilting). The leaf water loss as a result of wilting was 10.05–25.63%. In conditions of insufficient moisture supply water deficit of leaves was at the level of 6.16–8.87%. Conclusions. According to the value of average long-term assessment of actual drought tolerance, the studied plants have a high degree of drought tolerance. The stomatal apparatus of woody vines of the genus Ampelopsis is distinguished by a greater manifestation of signs of xeromorphism than members of the genus Parthenocissus. High adaptability of the studied plants to growing conditions was revealed. High level of water holding capacity of the leaves was determined. It was revealed that in the period with low moisture provision the water stress in the leaves was low. The studied representatives are distinguished by a high degree of drought resistance due to the presence of signs of xeromorphism in the anatomical and morphological structure of the leaf surface, as well as the peculiarities of water regime and physicochemical processes inside leaf tissues, which makes it possible to use them extensively in the conditions of introduction. | Мета. Дослідити посухостійкість інтродукованих у Правобережний Лісостеп України деревних ліан родів Ampelopsis Michx. і Parthenocissus Planch. за специфікою анатомо-морфологічної будови листкової поверхні, особливостями водного режиму листків та показниками фізико-хімічних процесів усередині їх тканин у процесі зів’янення. Методи. Польові, морфометричні, фізіологічні, статистичні. Результати. Досліджено посухостійкість деревних ліан родів Ampelopsis і Parthenocissus колекції родини Vitaceaeекспозиційно-колекційної ділянки «Вит­кі рослини» Національного ботанічного саду ім. М. М. Гришка НАН. За візуальними спостереженнями, у періоди з низьким рівнем вологозабезпечення, пошкодження листків зафіксовано не було, тургор не знижувався. Основні відмінності будови абаксіальної поверхні епідерми листків деревних ліан родів Ampelopsis і Parthenocissus полягають у формі епідермальних клітин та кількості продихів. Електропровідність листків усіх досліджуваних рослин у процесі в’янення зменшувалася стабільно (у середньому на 0,12–0,19 mcS за дві години зів’янення). Утрата води листям у результаті зів’янення становить 10,05–25,63%. В умовах недостатнього вологозабезпечення водний дефіцит листків перебуває на рівні 6,16–8,87%. Висновки. Згідно з величиною середньої багаторічної оцінки фактичної посухостійкості, дос­ліджувані рослини мають високий ступінь посухостійкості. Продиховий апарат деревних ліан роду Ampelopsis відрізняється більшою виразністю ознак ксероморфності порівняно з представниками роду Parthenocissus. Установлено високу адаптованість досліджуваних рослин до умов вирощування. Визначено високий рівень водоутримувальної здатності листків. Виявлено, що в період з низькою вологозабезпеченістю дефіцит води в листках перебуває на низькому рівні. Досліджувані представники відзначаються високим ступенем посухостійкості завдяки наявності ознак ксероморфізму в анатомо-морфологічній будові листкової поверхні, а також особливостям водного режиму та фізико-хімічних процесів усередині тканин листків, що дає можливість їх широкого використання в умовах інтродукції. | Цель. Исследована засухоустойчивость древесных лиан родов Ampelopsis и Parthenocissus коллекции семейства Vitaceae экспозиционно-коллекционного участка «Вьющиеся растения» Национального ботанического сада имени Н. Н. Гришко НАН Украины. По визуальным наблюдениям, в периоды с низким уровнем влагообеспеченности, повреждения листьев растений зафиксировано не было, тургор не снижался. Отличия в строении абаксиальной поверхности эпидермиса листьев древесных лиан родов Ampelopsis и Parthenocissus заключаются в форме эпидермальных клеток и количестве устьиц. Электропроводность листьев в процессе увядания уменьшалась стабильно (в среднем на 0,12–0,19 mcS за 2 часа увядания). Потеря воды листьями в результате увядания составляет 10,05–25,63%. В условиях недостаточной влагообеспеченности вод­ный дефицит листьев находился на уровне 6,16–8,87%. Выводы. Согласно величине средней многолетней оценки фактической засухоустойчивости, растения обладают высокой степенью засухоустойчивости. Устьичный аппарат древесных лиан рода Ampelopsis отличается большей выраженностью признаков ксероморфности по сравнению с представителями рода Parthenocissus. Установлено, что растения хорошо адаптированы к условиям выращивания. Определено высокий уровень водоудерживающей способности листьев. Выявлено, что в период с низким уровнем влагообеспеченности, дефицит воды в листьях находился на низком уровне. Исследуемые представители обладают высокой степенью засухоустойчивости благодаря наличию признаков ксероморфизма в анатомо-морфологическом строении листовой поверхности, а также особенностям водного режима и физико-химических процессов внутри тканей листьев, что дает возможность их широкого использования в условиях интродукции.

Questions of winter wheat cultivation in rice crop rotations, which further to make the most efficient use of soil, increase of fertility and receive an additional yield per unit of crop area are studied in the article. The results of ecological variety test of winter wheat in rice check conditions have represented. The varieties with the best adaptive properties, yield and high qualitative indices of grain are park out. The conclusions about expediency of burther study improvements guestions of winter wheat ecological variety test are made with the purpose of selection varieties the most adapted to specific rice checks contions.
