Purpose. To establish the most effective index figures for determination of breeding value of spring wheat genotypes.Methods. Field and statistical ones. Index of prospectivity – IP, Finno-Scandinavian index – FSI, Mexican index – MI, Bila Tserkva index – BI, Poltava index – PI, index of spike linear density – ISLD, index of spike density – ISD were defined.Results. During the investigation period, weather conditions differed from the long-term average annual indices for temperature regime, amount of precipitation and its distribution by month. Conditions of the growing season was the most favorable in 2016 (HTC = 1.1), insufficient level of humidity was specific for 2017 (HTC = 0.2). This allowed to define breeding indices for the soft wheat and spring durum wheat growing under different conditions. The analysis of the obtained data showed that the IP varied both in varieties and over the years, that indicated a various response of genotypes to vegetation conditions that existed during the growing years. Varieties of durum wheat ‘Slavuta’ and soft spring wheat ‘Struna myronivska’ were characterized by the high FSI. Such durum wheat varieties as ‘MIP Magdalena’, ‘MIP Raiduzhna’, ‘Kuchumivka’, ‘Kharkivska 41’, as well as the following soft spring varieties as ‘MIP Zlata’, ‘Oksamyt myronivskyi’, ‘Struna myronivska’, ‘Elehiya myronivska’ had a high level of MI. The spring wheat varieties have the highest indices of LSD and BI in 2016. IP during the investigation period was ranging from 2.3 to 4.5 in durum wheat varieties and from 2.2 to 6.4 in soft spring wheat. In breeding, it is important to use breeding indices, which should be included on the basis of traits that have a reliable correlation with yield index. SD indices (r = 0.53±0.08), BI (r = 0.42±0.08), MI (r = 0.41±0.08) were the most effective for durum spring wheat varieties in the year to be the best for humidification (2016), while PI (r = 0.39±0.07; r = 0.34±0.07 respectively) was the most effective for the soft wheat in 2016 and 2017. For the complex of breeding indices, the varieties of soft spring wheat (‘Struna myronivska’, ‘Simkoda myronivska’, ‘MIP Zlata’) and durum (MIP Mahdalena’, ‘MIP Raiduzhna’, ‘Slavuta’, ‘Kuchumivka’) were defined.Conclusions. The indices SD, BI, MI were the most effective for durum spring wheat varieties and PI – for soft wheat. Selected spring wheat varieties showed the optimum ratio between investigated traits. | Цель. Установить наиболее эффективные индексные показатели для определения селекционной ценности генотипов пшеницы яровой.Методы. Полевой, статистический. Определяли индекс перспективности – IР, финно-скандинавский индекс – FSI, мексиканский – MI, белоцерковский – БI, полтавский – РI, линейной плотнос­ти колоса – ЛЩК, плотности колоса – ЩК.Результаты. В период проведения исследований погодные условия отличались от средних многолетних показателей по температурному режиму, количеству атмосферных осадков и их распределению по месяцам. Оптимальные условия вегетационного периода сложились в 2016 г. (ГТК = 1,1), недостаточным уровнем влажности характеризовался 2017 г. (ГТК = 0,2). Это дало возможность установить селекционные индексы для различных условий выращивания пшеницы мягкой и твердой яровой. Анализ полученных данных показал, что IР варьировал как у разных сортов, так и по годам, что свидетельствует о различной реакции генотипов на условия вегетации, сложившиеся в годы выращивания. Высоким показателем FSI характеризовались сорта пшеницы твердой – ‘Славута’ и мягкой яровой – ‘Струна мироновская’. К сортам пшеницы твердой с высоким уровнем МІ отнесены: ‘МИП Магдалена’, ‘МИП Радужная’, ‘Кучумовка’, ‘Харьковская 41’ и мягкой яровой – ‘МИП Злата’, ‘Оксамыт мироновский’, ‘Струна мироновская’, ‘Элегия мироновская’. Самые высокие показатели ЛПК и БІ сорта пшеницы яровой сформировали в 2016 г. РІ был в пределах от 2,3 до 4,5 у сортов пшеницы твердой и от 2,2 до 6,4 – мягкой яровой. Важным в селекции является использование селекционных индексов, которые необходимо включать на основании признаков, имеющих достоверную корреляционную связь с показателями урожайности. Наиболее эффективными для сортов пшеницы твердой яровой в оптимальный год увлажнения (2016) оказались индексы ЩК (r = 0,53±0,08), БІ (r = 0,42±0,08), МІ (r = 0,41±0,08), для мягкой в 2016 и 2017 гг. – РІ (r = 0,39±0,07; r = 0,34±0,07 соответственно). По комплексу селекционных индексов выделены такие сор­та пшеницы мягкой яровой: ‘Струна мироновская’, ‘Симкода мироновская’, ‘МИП Злата’ и твердой: ‘МИП Магдалена’, ‘МИП Райдужная’, ‘Славута’, ‘Кучумовка’.Выводы. Наиболее эффективными для сортов пшеницы твердой яровой были индексы ЩК, БІ, МІ, для мягкой – РІ. Выделенные сорта пшеницы яровой характеризовались оптимальным соотношением исследуемых признаков. | Мета. До сортів пшениці твердої із високим рівнем МІ віднесено: ‘МІП Магдалена’, ‘МІП Райдужна’, ‘Кучумівка’, ‘Харківська 41’, а до м’якої ярої – ‘МІП Злата’, ‘Оксамит миронівський’, ‘Струна миронівська’, ‘Елегія миронівська’. Найвищі показники ЛЩК та БІ сорти пшениці ярої сформували у 2016 р. РІ за період проведених досліджень був у межах від 2,3 до 4,5 у сортів пшениці твердої та від 2,2 до 6,4 – м’якої ярої. Purpose. To define morphological peculiarities of the different types of shoots of switch grass (Panicum virgatum L.) in the context of introduction in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe and Polissia zones of Ukraine.Methods. Morpho-physiological and ontogenetic analysis, morphometric technique, statistical evaluation.Results. It was found that P. virgatum plants were producing the following types of shoots: vegetative-generative short or long rhizomatous ones (they appeared as in the underground part of a maternal shoot in «the area of shortened internodes» and in the base of its aboveground part); vegetative underground and aboveground ones (they are forming both in the axils of scales of the underground part of a maternal shoot and in the axils of cauline leaves); generative aboveground shoots (borne in the axil of cauline leaves). Morphological parameters and features of morphogenesis of reproduction, resting and secondary buds have been described.Conclusions. During flowering phase of maternal shoot, P. virgatum reproduction buds were on the organogenesis phase I–II, their bursting occured after maternal shoot has flowered. The correlation of internodes length, leave blades and sheaths has been established. The maximum values of the above parameters were observed in the middle part of the prefloral zone of the stem. In the context of introduction, panicle earing came in the third decade of July, flowering began in the first decade of August. It was revealed that complete flowers are bloomed faster than the staminate ones. | Цель. Выявить морфологические особенности разных типов побегов проса прутьевидного (Panicum virgatum L.) в связи с интродукцией в Правобережной Лесостепи и Полесье Украины.Методы. Морфофизиологический и онтогенетический анализ, морфометрический, статистический.Результаты. Установлено, что у растений P. virgatum образуются такие типы побегов: вегетативно-генеративные коротко – и длиннокорневищные (закладываются как на подземной части материнского побега в зоне «дуги укороченных междоузлий», так и в основании его надземной части); вегетативные подземные и надземные (формируются в пазухах чешуй подземной части материнского побега, а также в пазухах стеблевых листьев); генеративные надземные (розвиваються в пазухах стеблевых листьев). Описаны морфологические параметры и особенности морфогенеза почек возобновления, спящих и резервных почек.Выводы. В фазе цветения материнского побега P. virgatum почки возобновления находятся на I–II этапе органогенеза, их раскрытие происходит после цветения материнского побега. Установлено, что длина междоузлий коррелирует с длиной листовых пластинок и влагалищных частей листьев, максимальное значение упомянутых показателей отмечается в средней части префлоральной зоны стебля. В условиях интродукции фаза выбрасывания метелки наступает в ІІІ декаде июля, начало цветения приходится на I декаду августа. Выявлено, что пестично-тычиночные цветки раскрываются быстрее, чем тычиночные. | Мета. Виявити морфологічні особливості різних типів пагонів рослин проса прутоподібного (Panicum virgatum L.) у зв’язку з інтродукцією в Правобережному Лісостепу та Поліссі України.Методи. Морфофізіологічний та онтогенетичний аналіз, морфометричний, статистичний.Результати. Встановлено, що у рослин P. virgatum утворюються такі типи пагонів: вегетативно-генеративні коротко- та довго кореневищні (закладаються як на підземній частині материнського пагона в зоні «дуги вкорочених міжвузлів», так і в основі його надземної частини); вегетативні підземні та надземні (формуються у пазухах лусок підземної частини материнського пагона, а також у пазухах листків стебла); генеративні надземні (розвиваються в пазухах листків стебла). Описано морфологічні параметри та особливості морфогенезу бруньок поновлення, сплячих та резервних бруньок.Висновки. У фазі цвітіння материнського пагона бруньки поновлення P. virgatum перебувають на I–II етапі органогенезу, розгортання їх відбувається після цвітіння материнського пагона. Встановлено, що довжина міжвузлів корелює з довжиною листкових пластинок та піхвових частин листка, максимальне значення зазначених показників спостерігається в середній частині префлоральної зони стебла. В умовах інтродукції фаза викидання волоті настає в ІІІ декаді липня, початок цвітіння припадає на І декаду серпня. Виявлено, що маточково-тичинкові квітки розкриваються швидше, ніж тичинкові.

Purpose. To conduct the historical analysis of the practice of writing varieties names and other denominations of cultiva­ted plants and development of relevant international rules and recommendations. Results. The need to normalize the names of cultivated plants has matured in the horticultural environment more than a century and a half ago and was realized by the development of the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants. During that period, the Code was expanded and improved, and now the IXth edition of the nomenclatural rules is valid. This nomenclature code has no legal status and is based on the voluntary consent of specialists to follow it for nomenclature stability, which is extremely important in international communication among scientists and businesspersons. International agreements for protection of plant breeder’s rights have been signed that is legally effective. Relevant rules have been developed governing the features of the creation, registration and operation of names of varieties and trademarks that relate to varieties as commercial objects.Conclusions. The rules developed by horticulturists and botanists for naming cultivated plants have some differences with the rules for denomination of varieties as objects of intellectual property, which should be resolved for harmonization and increasing the effectiveness of scientific and economic activities. Knowledge of the nomenclature code and UPOV documents will assist the breeder in his professional activity. | Цель. Осуществить исторический анализ практики написания названий сортов и других обозначений культурных растений, а также разработки соответствующих международных правил и рекомендаций.Результаты. Потребность в нормировании названий культурных растений вызрела в садово-ботанической среде более полутора сотен лет назад и была реализована разработкой Международного кодекса номенклатуры культурных растений. В течение этого перио­да он расширялся и усовершенствовался, и ныне действует IX редакция номенклатурных правил. Этот номенклатурный кодекс не имеет правового статуса и основывается на добровольном согласии специалистов выполнять его, что обеспечивает номенклатурную стабильность, чрезвычайно важную в международном общении, научной и коммерческой среде. Для обеспечения прав селекционеров, создаю­щих новые сорта растений, подписаны международные соглашения про интеллектуальную собственность, которые имеют юридическую силу. Разработаны соответствующие правила, регулирующие особенности создания, регистрации и функционирования названий сортов и торговых знаков, которые касаются сортов как коммерческих объектов. Выводы. Правила, разработанные садоводами и ботаниками для наименования культурных растений, имеют некоторые расхождения с правилами наименования сортов как объектов интеллектуальной собственности, которые следует урегулировать для гармонизации и повышения эффективности научной и хозяйственной деятельности. Знание номенклатурного кодекса и документов UPOV поможет селекционеру в его профессиональной деятельности. | Мета. Purpose. To study effects of low temperatures on Lavandula angustifolia plants and their response depending on their age and variety as well as identify critical temperature values for such structure elements of plants as bark, cambium, wood, pith.Methods. Field investigation, spectrometric analysis, statistical evaluation.Results. Topicality of investigation of Lavandula angustifolia to be grown in the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine was highlighted. Low temperature effects on structural elements of shoots for 8 varieties of domestic and foreign selection were analyzed. One-year shoots have suffered the most from low temperatures – 4.5 points on a six-point scale, two- and three-year shoots were damaged in a lesser degree – from 0.8 to 2 points. Plants of ‘Feuervogel’ and ‘Maestro’ varieties with total damage coefficient of 11.3% and 10.6% accordingly were the most resistant to low temperatures. These varieties can be recommended to producers for further introduction to the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine.Conclusions. Tissues of a lavender one-year shoot were most damaged by low temperatures regardless of a variety, but this organ is ephemeral and can be removed without causing damage to a plant. Two- and three-year shoots, which provide plant recovery, were significantly less damaged. None of the plants from 8 studied lavender varieties was lost under the influence of low temperatures, though some of them were damaged significantly. Such varieties as ‘Feuervogel’, ‘König Humbert’, ‘Veseli notky’ (pith damage is on the level of 1–2 points), ‘Maestro’ (0.8–2.5 points) were the most resistant to low temperature exposure which allows to conclude about successful lavender cultivation under conditions of the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. | Цель. Изучить влияние низких температур на растения лаванды узколистой и их реакцию в зависимости от возраста и сорта. Определить критические показатели температуры для структурных элементов ее растений: коры, камбия, древесины, сердцевины.Методы. Полевой, спектрометрический, статистический.Результаты. Освещена актуальность исследований лаванды узколис­той (Lavandula angustifolia), выращиваемой в условиях Лесостепи Украины. Проанализировано влияние низких температур на структурные элементы побегов 8 сортов отечественной и зарубежной селекции. Больше всего пов­реждались низкими температурами однолетние побеги – 4,5 балла по шестибалльной шкале, меньше – двух- и трехлетние – от 0,8 до 2 баллов. Самыми устойчивыми к низким температурам оказались растения сортов ‘Feuervogel’, которые суммарно по коэффициенту повреждения достигали 11,3%, и ‘Маэстро’ – 10,6%. Эти сорта можно рекомендовать производителям для интродукции в условиях Лесостепи Украины.Выводы. Ткани однолетнего побега лаванды больше всего повреждались низкими температурами независимо от сорта, однако это – эфемерный орган, который можно удалить без ущерба для выживания растений. Двух- и трехлетние побеги, обеспечивающие восстановление растения, имели значительно меньшие повреждения. Из 8 сортов лаванды, которые были в опыте, ни одно растение не погибло под влиянием низких температур, хотя в некоторых из них коэффициент повреждения был весьма значительным. Самыми устойчивыми сортами при воздействии на них низких температур оказались ‘Feuervogel’, ‘König Humbert’, ‘Веселые нотки’ (пов­реждение сердцевины – 1–2 балла), ‘Маэстро’ (повреждение сердцевины – 0,8–2,5 балла), что позволяет сделать вывод об успешности выращивания лаванды в условиях Лесостепи Украины. | Мета. Вивчити вплив низьких температур на рослини лаванди вузьколистої та їхню реакцію залежно від віку й сорту, а також визначити критичні значення температури для структурних елементів її рослин: кори, камбію, деревини, серцевини.Методи. Польовий, спектрометричний, статистичний.Результати. Висвітлено актуальність досліджень лаванди вузьколистої (Lavandula angustifolia), яку вирощують в умовах Лісостепу України. Проаналізовано вплив низьких температур на структурні елементи пагонів 8 сортів вітчизняної та іноземної селекції. Найбільше пошкоджень від низьких температур зазнали однорічні пагони – 4,5 бала за шестибальною шкалою, найменше – дво- та трирічні – від 0,8 до 2 балів. Найстійкішими до низьких температур виявилися рослини сортів ‘Feuervogel’, що сумарно за коефіцієнтом пош­кодження досягали 11,3%, та ‘Маестро’ – 10,6%. Ці сорти можна рекомендувати виробникам для інтродукції в умовах Лісостепу України.Висновки. Тканини однорічного пагону лаванди найбільшою мірою були пошкоджені низькими температурами незалежно від сорту, однак це – ефемерний орган, який можна видалити без шкоди для виживання рослин. Дво- та трирічні пагони, що забезпечують відновлення рослини, мали значно менші пошкодження. У 8 сортів лаванди, які були в досліді, жодна рослина не загинула від впливу низьких температур, хоч у деяких з них коефіцієнт пошкодження був досить значним. Найстійкішими сортами за дії на них низьких температур виявилися: ‘Feuervogel’, ‘König Humbert’, ‘Веселі нотки’ (пошкодження серцевини на рівні 1–2 бали), ‘Маестро’ (пошкодження серцевини – 0,8–2,5 бала), що дає змогу зробити висновок про успішність вирощування лаванди в умовах Лісостепу України.

Purpose. To study effects of low temperatures on Lavandula angustifolia plants and their response depending on their age and variety as well as identify critical temperature values for such structure elements of plants as bark, cambium, wood, pith. Methods. Field investigation, spectrometric analysis, statistical evaluation. Results. Topicality of investigation of Lavandula angustifolia to be grown in the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine was highlighted. Low temperature effects on structural elements of shoots for 8 varieties of domestic and foreign selection were analyzed. One-year shoots have suffered the most from low temperatures – 4.5 points on a six-point scale, two- and three-year shoots were damaged in a lesser degree – from 0.8 to 2 points. Plants of ‘Feuervogel’ and ‘Maestro’ varieties with total damage coefficient of 11.3% and 10.6% accordingly were the most resistant to low temperatures. These varieties can be recommended to producers for further introduction to the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. Conclusions. Tissues of a lavender one-year shoot were most damaged by low temperatures regardless of a variety, but this organ is ephemeral and can be removed without causing damage to a plant. Two- and three-year shoots, which provide plant recovery, were significantly less damaged. None of the plants from 8 studied lavender varieties was lost under the influence of low temperatures, though some of them were damaged significantly. The als gene sequences of various members of the Poaceae family were obtained from the NCBI: Nucleotide database. For comparison, a fragment of the imi-2 gene of wheat of the soft line ‘TealIMI11A’ was used in two regions of the 367–390 and 1729–1749 nucleotide sequences. The Sequence Viewer 3.37.0 tool was used to assess the presence of nucleotide substitutions in the working sequence of the imi-2 gene. The dendrogram was built using the “Blast Tree” tool from the NCBI: Blast: Nucleotide resource. Results. A comparative analysis of the nucleotide sequences of seven different species was carried out: soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), common wild oat (Avena fatua L.), barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), Asian rice (Oryza sativa L.), maize (Zea mays L.), aleppo grass (Sorghum halepense Pers.) and Tausch’s goatgrass (Aegilops tauschii Coss.). The dendrogram is based on the gene sequence als, showed that all studied genotypes can be divided into two blocks: the first block included maize and aleppo grass, and the second block, a separate branch includes Asian rice and common wild oat, barley, soft wheat and Tausch’s goatgrass. 367–390 nucleotide sequences of soft wheat showed the highest 100% homology to Asian rice, Tausch’s goatgrass and common wild oat. The lowest homo­logy was for maize and aleppo grass at 83.3%. Evaluation of the nucleotide sequence 1729–1749 showed no complete homology at the 100% level. It was the highest for barley and Tausch’s goatgrass – 95.2%, and the lowest for rice, maize and aleppo grass – 80.9% each.Conclusions. The analysis confirms a significant degree of homology of the als gene sequence for various species of the Poaceae family, which allows us to create a universal genetic vector. Был проведен сравнительный анализ нуклео­тидных последовательностей семи различных видов: пшеницы мягкой (Triticum aestivum L.), овсюга обыкновенного (Avena fatua L.), ячменя обыкновенного (Hordeum vulgare L.), риса посевного (Oryza sativa L.), кукурузы (Zea mays L.), сорго алепского (Sorghum halepense Pers.) и эгилопса Тауша (Aegilops tauschii Coss.). На основе сравнительного анализа сиквенса участков гена іmi-2 для 7-ми генотипов построили филогенетическое дерево, которое показало, что исследованные виды можно разделить на два блока. В первый блок вошли кукуруза и сорго алеппское, а ко второму блоку – рис посевной, овсюг обыкновенный, ячмень обыкновенный, пшеница мягкая и эгилопс Тауша. Определение степени гомологии между последовательностью 367–390 нуклеотида пшеницы мягкой и другими видами показала, что абсолютной была гомология с соответствующими последовательностями риса посевного, эгилопса Тауша и овсюга обыкновенного (100%). Наименьшим нуклеотидное родство оказалось для кукурузы и сорго алеппского – по 83,3%. На участке 1729–1749 нук­леотидов гена іmi-2 никакой из 6 сиквенсов не показал 100% гомологии с последовательностью пшеницы мягкой. Самой высокой она была для ячменя обыкновенного и эгилопса Тауша – 95,2%, а наименьшей для риса посевного, кукурузы и сорго алеппского – по 80,9%.Выводы. Проведенный анализ подтверждает значительную степень гомологии последовательности гена als для различных видов семейства Злаковых. Это позволяет допустить возможность создания универсальной генетической конструкции, с помощью которой можно осуществлять редактирование генома и получения растений, устойчивых к гербициду разных представителей этой семьи. Учитывая высокую степень гомологии последовательностей для таких видов как пшеница мягкая, эгилопс Тауша, ячмень обыкновенный, рис посевной и овсюг обыкновенный, можно предположить, что с наибольшей эффективностью соответствующая генетическая конструкция может быть использована для редактирования гена als именно этих генотипов. | Провести біоінформатичний аналіз та порівняти цільові ділянки гена ацетолактат синтази (als) у декількох представників родини Злакових і на основі отриманих даних дослідити можливість створення уніфікованої генетичної конструкції для направленого редагування гена als за допомогою системи CRISPR-Cas9. На основі порівняльного аналізу сиквенсу ділянок гена іmi-2 для 7-ми генотипів було побудовано філогенетичне дерево, яке показало, що досліджені види можна поділити на два блоки. До одного з них увійшли кукурудза та сорго алепське, а до другого – рис посівний, вівсюг звичайний, ячмінь звичайний, пшениця м’яка та егілопс Тауша. Визначення ступеня гомології між послідовністю 367–390 нуклеотиду пшениці м’якої та іншими видами показало, що абсолютною була гомологія з відповідними послідовностями рису посівного, егілопса Тауша та вісюга звичайного (100%). Найменшою нуклеотидна спорідненість виявилась для кукурудзи та сорго алепського – 83,3%. У ділянці 1729–1749 нуклеотидів гена іmi-2 жоден з 6 сиквенсів не показав 100% гомології з послідовністю пшениці м’якої. Це дозволяє зробити припущення про можливість створення універсальної генетичної конструкції, за допомогою якої можна редагувати геном та отримувати рослини, стійкі до гербіцидів різних представників цієї родини. Зважаючи на вищий ступінь гомології послідовностей для таких видів як пшениця м’яка, егілопс Тауша, ячмінь звичайний, рис посівний та вівсюг звичайний, можна припустити, що ефективнішою відповідна генетична конструкція буде для редагування гена als саме цих генотипів.

Create a new source material of soybeans without pubescence, determine its selection value for the efficient use of processed products in animal nutrition, which will ensure high productivity of the latter. Quantitative and qualitative indicators of seeds are important economic and valuable features. The lack of pubescence on plants is unique.Methods. Field, special, laboratory and mathematical-statistical.Results. The minimum fat content of 20.88% was observed in the seeds of the non-pubescent variety ‘Kobra’, 23.73% in the line No 305, and 25.02% in the line No 22. The varieties ‘Diamant’ and ‘Antratsyt’ had a high fat content – 24.08–25.83%. The protein content in the green mass of promising lines was very low – up to 16%. The fat content was in the range of 2.1–5.3% with the maximum value in the lines No 3 and No 7 – 4.67–5.26%. The protein content in ‘Anakonda’ seeds and No 1 and No 9 lines was 36–37%, in standard varieties – at the level of 29.5–35.63%. A comparison of new non-pubescent lines with standard varieties and the most productive varieties ‘Diamant’ and ‘Adamos’, which are included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and meet the requirements for efficient use in fodder production.Conclusions. Lack of pubescence in soybean plants is an extremely rare and atypical phenomenon. There are no such varieties in the state register of plant varieties of Ukraine. More than 50 non-pubescent lines exceed the indicators of economic suitability of national standards and modern varieties. Lines No 4, No 5, No 7, No 8, which had more than 15% protein in the green mass, should be involved in the selection process to create fodder varieties. The ‘Anakonda’ line has a nutritional value with a minimum content of linolenic acid in the oil (6.08%). Increased oleic acid content was observed in varieties ‘Adamos’ (35.01%), ‘Diamant’ (33.53%), ‘Ametyst’ (31.39%). | Мета. Створити новий вихідний матеріал сої без опушення, визначити його селекційну цінність для ефективного використання продуктів переробки в годівлі тварин, що забезпечить отримання високої продуктивності останніх. Важливими господарсько-цінними ознаками при цьому є кількісні та якісні показники насіння. Відсутність опушення рослин є унікальним.Методи. Польові, спеціальні, лабораторні та математично-статистичні. Результати. Мінімальний уміст жиру в насінні – 20,88% відзначено в неопушеного сорту ‘Кобра’, у ліній № 305 та № 22 – 23,73 і 25,02% відповідно. Високим умістом жиру характеризувалися сорти ‘Алмаз’ і ‘Антрацит’ – 24,08 і 25,83%. Уміст білка в зеленій масі перспективних ліній був дуже низьким – до 16%. Уміст жиру був у межах від 2,1 до 5,3% з максимальними значеннями в ліній № 3 і № 7 – 4,67 і 5,26% відповідно. Уміст білка в насінні ‘Анаконда’ та ліній № 1 і № 9 був на рівні 36–37%, у сортів-стандартів – 29,57–35,63%. Порівняно нові лінії без опушення із сортами-стандартами та найурожайнішими сортами ‘Алмаз’ і ‘Адамос’, які занесені до Державного реєстру сортів рослин України та відповідають вимогам ефективного використання в кормовиробництві.Висновки. Відсутність опушення в рослин сої – надзвичайно рідкісне й нетипове явище. У Держреєстрі такі сорти відсутні. Понад 50 неопушених ліній культури перевищують показники господарської придатності національних стандартів і сучасних сортів. У процесі створення нових сортів з підвищеним умістом жиру в насінні доцільно використовувати неопушені лінії № 305 (23,73%) і № 22 (25,02%). Для створення кормових сортів у селекційний процес слід залучати лінії № 4, № 5, № 7, № 8, які мали в зеленій масі понад 15% протеїну. Високою харчовою цінністю характеризується лінія ‘Анаконда’ з мінімальним умістом в олії ліноленової кислоти (6,08%). Підвищений уміст олеїнової кислоти відзначено в сортів ‘Адамос’ (35,01%), ‘Алмаз’ (33,53%), ‘Аметист’ (31,39%).

Purpose. To identify spring durum wheat accessions with high yield level and by yield components for their involvement in breeding programs as a source material.Methods. Field, statistical.Results. The results of the study of 65 collection samples of spring durum wheat of various ecological and geographical origin in terms of productivity in 2016–2018 are presented. The research results indicate that the samples of spring durum wheat had different yield level depending on the conditions of the year of cultivation. According to the calculations of the degree of yield stability parameters, the samples were found that ensure its level under fluctuations in weather conditions with regression coefficient close to one as follows ‘Omskiy izumrud’ (RUS), ‘Korona’, ‘Toma’, ‘Nauryz 6’ (KAZ), ‘Dura king’, ‘Candura’ (CAN), ‘Tera’, ‘Novatsiia’ (UKR), thus indicating their semi-intensive type. These are samples with regression coefficient more than one ‘MIP Raiduzhna’, ‘Hordeiforme 13-07’ (UKR), ‘Lan’, ‘Salaut’, ‘Ertol’ (KAZ), ‘Bezenchukskaya 205’, ‘Lilek’ (RUS). These samples can be characterized by their adaptive properties as intense ones, with a pronounced response to the environment. Over the years of the research, grain number per spike varied from 35.9 to 38.8 pcs. Year conditions in 2016 were the most favorable for plant growth and development, while index of conditions was 4.1, and the average grain number per spike was 41.4 pcs. Year conditions in 2017 and 2018 were less favorable for growth and development of durum spring wheat, and therefore there was a negative value of index of year conditions (lj = -5.1 and lj = 0.5, respectively) with less grain number per spike (32.2 and 38.2 pcs., respectively). According to the trait «1000 kernel weight», the samples were identified with regression coefficient close to one under fluctuations of weather conditions, i.e ‘Korona’, ‘Raya’ (KAZ), ‘Lilek’, ‘Bezenchukskaya 205’ (RUS), ‘MIP Raiduzhna’ (UKR). The grain weight per spike in the collection samples varied from 1.27 to 1.77 g. The stable samples ‘Ertol’, ‘Salaut’, ‘Damsinskaya yantarnaya’ (KAZ), ‘Lilek’ (RUS), ‘Novatsiia’ (UKR), ‘Duraking’, ‘Candura’ (CAN) promising in spring wheat breeding were identified and can be involved in hybridization.Conclusions. Виділити зразки пшениці твердої ярої з високим рівнем урожайності та за елементами структури врожаю для їх залучення як вихідного матеріалу в селекційні програми.Методи. Польові, статистичні.Результати. Упродовж  2016–2018 рр. досліджено 65 колекційних зразків пшениці твердої ярої різного еколого-географічного походження за показниками продуктивності. Зразки мали різний рівень урожайності залежно від умов року вирощування.  За розрахунками параметрів ступеня стабільності врожайності виявлено зразки, що за зміни погодних умов забезпечують її рівень із коефіцієнтом регресії, близьким до одиниці – ‘Омский изумруд’ (RUS), ‘Корона’, ‘Тома’, ‘Наурыз 6’ (KAZ), ‘Duraking’, ‘Candura’ (CAN), ‘Тера’, ‘Новація’ (UKR), що вказує на їхню приналежність до напівінтенсивного типу. Широкою екологічною реакцією відрізняються колекційні зразки пшениці твердої ярої, які за оптимальних погодних умов здатні забезпечувати значний приріст урожайності. До них належать  зразки з коефіцієнтом регресії більше одиниці – ‘МІП Райдужна’, ‘Гордеіформе 13-07’ (UKR), ‘Лан’, ‘Салаут’, ‘Ертол’ (KAZ), ‘Безенчукская 205’, ‘Лилек’ (RUS). Ці зразки можна охарактеризувати за адаптивними властивостями як інтенсивні, з вираженою реакцією на середовище. За роки досліджень озерненість колоса варіювала від 35,9 до 38,8 шт. Найсприятливішим для росту й розвитку рослин виявився 2016 р.: індекс умов становив 4,1, а середня озерненість колоса – 41,4 шт. Менш сприятливими виявилися 2017 і 2018 pp., тому мало місце від’ємне значення індексу умов року (lj = -5,1 та lj = 0,5 відповідно) за нижчої кількості зерен із колоса (32,2 та 38,2 шт. відповідно). За ознакою «маса 1000 зерен» виявлено зразки, які мають коефіцієнт регресії, близький до одиниці – ‘Корона’, ‘Рая’ (KAZ), ‘Лилек’, ‘Безенчукская 205’ (RUS), ‘МІП Райдужна’ (UKR). Маса зерна з колоса в колекційних зразків варіювала від 1,27 до 1,77 г. Виділено стабільні зразки – ‘Ертол’, ‘Салаут’, ‘Дамсинская янтарная’ (KAZ), ‘Лилек’ (RUS), ‘Новація’ (UKR), ‘Duraking’, ‘Candura’ (CAN), що мають перспективне значення в селекції пшениці ярої та можуть бути залучені до гібридизації.Висновки. Виділено стабільні та пластичні зразки з колекційного матеріалу пшениці твердої ярої за показниками продуктивності для залучення в наукові програми як вихідний матеріал.

Purpose. To analyse the world experience and current trends in protection of new apples varieties and plant breeders’ rights.Results. It takes up to 20 years to developed a new variety of apple trees from crossing, in addition to considerable material resources; another 5–10 years are spent on its introduction into a broad culture. After the licensing agreement, the cultivar owner receives royalties for each tree sold, but such a scheme presents risks for both cultivar owners and apple producers. Most of the time allotted for the protection of the variety may be exhausted before it becomes popular with consumers. To overcome the negative traits inherent in “open cultivars”, new marketing mechanisms using “managed” or club cultivars are used. The cultivar owner obtains a USPP or PBR in a producing country. He usually also registers one or more trademarks in each of countries where fruit will be sold. Licensing agreements for tree propagation and fruit production are usually licensed to one or a few producers or marketers in a production territory along with rights to use a trademark for sales in one or more countries. In return, the cultivar owner receives an exclusivity payment, a royalty from each apple tree propagated, and a proportion of the fruit sale. The producer agrees to milestones for orchard establishment and fruit production and maintenance of quality standards. The advantage for growers is the ability to raise prices by limi­ting supply and the benefits of promoting apples in the market. Retailers are generally interested in registered varieties due to the higher selling prices and the potential for exclusivity of branded varieties. Due to the large volume of supply of many varieties, manufacturers consider new club varieties necessary for maintaining profitability. It is projected that in the near future the share of club varieties may increase from the current 5% to 15–20%.Conclusions. The licensing of the trademark provides a marketer to build a brand that can contribute to a lengthy and indefinite exclusivity period of the cultivar with proper management of intellectual property and apple production and quality. Income on the use of trademark in fruit sales can have sustained and potentially larger to cultivar owner. Only apples of certain quality standards are sold under brand names at higher prices, increasing profitability and providing a more stable annual income for the producer. The efficiency of the brand system means that in the future, new apple varieties will be launched exclusively under their own brand, and the introduction of new varieties will bring greater benefits to producers and consumers. | Цель. Проанализировать мировой опыт и современные тенденции защиты новых сортов яблок и охраны прав селекционера. Результаты. На создание нового сорта яблони путем скрещивания, кроме значительных материальных ресурсов, затрачивается до 20 лет; еще 5–10 лет уходит на его внедрение в широкую культуру. Собственник сорта после заключения лицензионного соглашения получает роялти за каждый проданный саженец, но такая схема является рискованной как для владельцев сортов, так и для производителей яблок. Большая часть времени, отведенного для охраны сорта, может быть исчерпана до того, как он приобретет популярность у потребителей. Для преодоления отрицательных черт, присущих «открытым» сортам, применяются новые маркетинговые механизмы с использованием «закрытых», или клубных сортов. Собственник сорта получает патент США или охрану прав селекционера в стране производства и обычно также регистрирует одну или несколько торговых марок для сбыта в каждой стране, где яблоки будут продаваться. Розничные торговцы, как правило, заинтересованы в зарегистрированных сортах благодаря высоким ценам реализации и потенциалу эксклюзивности брендовых сортов. При больших объемах поставок многих сортов производители считают новые клубные сорта необходимыми для поддержания прибыльности. Прогнозируется, что в ближайшее время доля клубных сортов может увеличиться по сравнению с нынешними от 5 до 15–20%. Выводы. Лицензирование торговой марки стимулирует маркетолога развить бренд, который может благоприятствовать длительному и неопределенно длительному периоду исключительности сорта с расширением возможностей управления интеллектуальной собственностью, производством яблок и их качеством. Доход собственника сорта вследствие использования торговой марки во время продажи плодов, может быть более длительным и бóльшим. Яблоки, соответствующие стандартам качества, продают под брендовыми названиями по более высоким ценам, увеличивая доходность и обеспечивая стабильный годовой доход для производителя. Ліцензування торговельної марки стимулює маркетолога розвивати бренд, який може сприяти тривалому і невизначеному періоду винятковості сорту з розширенням можливостей управління інтелектуальною власністю, виробництвом садовини та її якістю. Дохід власника сорту внаслідок використання торговельної марки під час продажу плодів може бути тривалішим і більшим. Яблука, що відповідають стандартам якості, продають під брендовими назвами за вищими цінами, збільшуючи прибуток і забезпечуючи стабільніший річний дохід для виробника. Purpose. To analyze the variety diversity of the Itoh peony group in the collection of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and determine its biological features in the new conditions of introduction.Methods. Introduction studies, phenological observations, morphometry, statistical processing of results.Results. The cultivars diversity of the Itoh peony group of the M. M. Hrysh­ko National Botanical Garden National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine collection was analyzed. The ornamental properties of the cultivars were described. Features of their growth and development under conditions of introduction were studied. It was revealed that the duration of vegetation of plants of Ito group varieties is 218–225 days. It was determined that plant growth begins on March 23 – April 2, flowering on May 19–28. The budding of plants was observed in the first decade of May and lasts 16–20 days. It was revealed that in the conditions of introduction ‘Morning Lilac’ and ‘Sonoma Apricot’ bloom first (May 19–20), ‘Viking Full Moon’, ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy’, ‘Yellow Waterlily’ bloom later (May 28). The height of generative shoots of plants in flowe­ring phase ranged from 60 to90 cm. Plants go dormant in winter, having formed generative shoots that successfully winter. Reproduction of plants occurs both due to the buds that form on the lower part of the stem, and the buds that form on the rhizome. The shoot-forming ability and flowering productivity are 6.0±2.5 – 19.5±4.0 shoots and 4.5±1.5 – 16.0±3.0 generative shoots per plant, respectively. Cultivars ‘First Arrival’, ‘Sonoma Apricot’, ‘Hillary’, ‘Bartzella’, ‘Morning Lilac’, ‘Lollipop’, ‘Old Rose Dandy’ are highly productive. Conclusions. The collection of peonies of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has been expanded by Itoh Group cultivars. The R. Anderson’s breeds of 1980–1990 are more fully represented. An analysis of the ornamental features of the varieties showed that the hybrids with a semi-double flower shape of a yellow color dominate the collection. Cultivars retain all their ornamental and economic characteristics under conditions of introduction. The Itoh group varieties of the collection can be material for developing technologies for their cultivation and propagation, can be a source of replenishment and expansion of regional botanical gardens collections, planting material for gardening and landscaping, and also perform an educational and cognitive function. | Цель. Проанализировать сортовое разнообразие пионов Ито-группы коллекции Национального ботанического сада имени Н. Н. Гришко НАН Украины и определить их биологические особенности в новых условиях интродукции.Методы. Интродукционные исследования, фенологические наблюдения, морфометрия, статистическая обработка результатов.Результаты. Проанализировано сортовое разнообразие пионов Ито-группы коллекции Национального ботанического сада имени Н. Н. Гришко НАН Украины. Отрастание растений начиналось 23 марта – 2 апреля, цветение 19–28 мая. Бутонизация растений наблюдалась в первой декаде мая и продолжалась 16–20 дней. В условиях интродукции ранее всего (19–20 мая) зацветали сорта ‘Morning Lilac’ и ‘Sonoma Apricot’, позже всего (28 мая) – ‘Viking Full Moon’, ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy’, ‘Yellow Waterlily’. Высота генеративных побегов растений в фазу цветения колебалась в пределах 60–90 см. Растения входили в состояние зимнего покоя, имея сформированные генеративные побеги, которые успешно зимовали. Возобновление растений происходило как за счет почек, заложенных на нижней части стебля, так и за счет почек, которые формировались на корневище. Побегообразующая способность и продуктивность цветения составляла 6,0±2,5–19,5±4,0 побегов и 4,5±1,5–16,0±3,0 генеративных побегов на растение соответственно. Высокопродуктивными были сорта: ‘First Arrival’, ‘Sonoma Apricot’, ‘Hillary’, ‘Bartzella’, ‘Morning Lilac’, ‘Lollipop’, ‘Old Rose Dandy’.Выводы. Коллекцию пионов Национального ботанического сада имени Н. Н. Гришко НАН Украины пополнено сортами группы Ито. Максимально полно представлено селекцию Р. Андерсона 1980–1990 гг. В коллекции преобладают гибриды с полумахровой формой цветка желтой окраски. В условиях интродукции сорта сохраняют все свои декоративные и хозяйственно-биологические характеристики. Собранные в коллекции сорта Ито-группы могут использовать для разработки технологии их культивирования и размножения, быть источником пополнения и расширения коллекций региональных ботанических садов, посадочного материала для садоводства и озеленения, выполнять учебно-познавательную функцию | Мета. Висота генеративних пагонів рослин у фазу цвітіння коливалася в межах 60–90 см. Рослини входили у стан зимового спокою із сформованими генеративними пагонами, які успішно зимували. Поновлення рослин відбувалось як за рахунок бруньок, закладених на нижній частині стебла, так і за рахунок бруньок, які формувались на кореневищі. Пагоноутворювальна здатність та продуктивність цвітіння на третій рік культивування становила 6,0±2,5–19,5±4,0 пагонів та 4,5±1,5–16,0±3,0 генеративних пагонів на рослину, відповідно. Високопродуктивними були сорти: ‘First Arrival’, ‘Sonoma Apricot’, ‘Hillary’, ‘Bartzella’, ‘Morning Lilac’, ‘Lollipop’, ‘Old Rose Dandy’. Висновки. Колекцію півоній Національного ботанічного саду імені М. М. Гришка розширено сортами групи Іто. Максимально повно представлено селекцію Р. Андерсона 1980–1990 рр. У колекції переважають гібриди з напівмахровою формою квітки жовтого забарвлення. В умовах інтродукції сорти зберігають усі свої декоративні та господарсько-біологічні характеристики. Зібрані в колекції сорти Іто-групи можуть використовувати для розроблення технології їхнього культивування та розмноження, бути джерелом поповнення та розширення колекцій регіональних ботанічних садів, садивного матеріалу для садівництва та озеленення, виконувати навчально-пізнавальну функцію.

Purpose. To analyze the variety diversity of the Itoh peony group in the collection of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and determine its biological features in the new conditions of introduction. Methods. Introduction studies, phenological observations, morphometry, statistical processing of results. Results. The cultivars diversity of the Itoh peony group of the M. M. Hrysh­ko National Botanical Garden National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine collection was analyzed. The ornamental properties of the cultivars were described. Features of their growth and development under conditions of introduction were studied. It was revealed that the duration of vegetation of plants of Ito group varieties is 218–225 days. It was determined that plant growth begins on March 23 – April 2, flowering on May 19–28. The budding of plants was observed in the first decade of May and lasts 16–20 days. It was revealed that in the conditions of introduction ‘Morning Lilac’ and ‘Sonoma Apricot’ bloom first (May 19–20), ‘Viking Full Moon’, ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy’, ‘Yellow Waterlily’ bloom later (May 28). The height of generative shoots of plants in flowe­ring phase ranged from 60 to90 cm. Plants go dormant in winter, having formed generative shoots that successfully winter. Reproduction of plants occurs both due to the buds that form on the lower part of the stem, and the buds that form on the rhizome. The shoot-forming ability and flowering productivity are 6.0±2.5 – 19.5±4.0 shoots and 4.5±1.5 – 16.0±3.0 generative shoots per plant, respectively. Cultivars ‘First Arrival’, ‘Sonoma Apricot’, ‘Hillary’, ‘Bartzella’, ‘Morning Lilac’, ‘Lollipop’, ‘Old Rose Dandy’ are highly productive. Conclusions. The collection of peonies of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has been expanded by Itoh Group cultivars. The R. Anderson’s breeds of 1980–1990 are more fully represented. An analysis of the ornamental features of the varieties showed that the hybrids with a semi-double flower shape of a yellow color dominate the collection. Cultivars retain all their ornamental and economic characteristics under conditions of introduction. The Itoh group varieties of the collection can be material for developing technologies for their cultivation and propagation, can be a source of replenishment and expansion of regional botanical gardens collections, planting material for gardening and landscaping, and also perform an educational and cognitive function.

Field, biochemical methods, analysis of variance.Results. The rates of the influence of the growing zone, the conditions of the growing season of the year and the soybean variety on the yield, weight of 1000 seeds, the content of crude protein and oil, and protein and oil collection were determined. The greatest influence on the yield of the studied varieties had a growing zone – 55%. On average the maximum yield was obtained in Forest-steppe zone 2.48–3.58 t/ha, the lowest – in Steppe zone (1.33–1.89 t/ha) for 2017–2018. In the same period the weight of 1000 seeds on average was 125.1–169.9 g in the Steppe zone, in Forest-Steppe zone it was 130.2–207.8 g and 143.9–188.0 g in Fo­rrest zone. According to the results of analysis of variance, it was determined that the growing zone has the greatest influence on weight of 1000 seeds – 31%, variety – 21% and conditions of the growing season of the year – 13%. The main characteristics of soybean quality are the content of crude protein and oil in seeds. The highest level of crude protein was observed in soybean variety in Forest-Steppe zone – 37.5–44.0%. In Forrest zone, the crude protein content was 34.4–41.7%, in the Steppe zone 35.4–40.1%. The maximum level of this characteristic was observed in variety ‘NS Diyana’ – 44.0% in Forest-Steppe zone, in Forrest zone – in the variety ‘Alexa’ 41.7%, in Steppe zone – in variety ‘NS Diyana’ 40.1%. Thus, the growing zone (31%) and variety (25%) had the greatest influence on the content of crude protein; the interaction of factors (variety and growing zone) affected 17%. The average oil content for 2017‑2018 ranges from 19.8 to 24.2%. High oil content was noted in ‘Adsoy’ variety in Forrest and Forest-Steppe zones, 24.2 and 22.6%, respectively, and ‘Azimut’ – 23.8% in Steppe zone. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the growing zone to a greater extent affected the oil content in soybean seeds by 25%, variety – 21%, and the interaction of factors of the variety and gro­wing zone by 21%.Conclusions. Наибольшее влияние на показатель урожайности исследуемых сортов имела зона выращивания – 55%. В среднем за 2017–2018 гг. максимальная урожайность получена в зоне Лесостепи – 2,48–3,58 т/га, самая низкая – в зоне Степи 1,33–1,89 т/га. Значение показателя массы 1000 семян в среднем за 2017–2018 гг. составляют в зоне Степи – 125,1–169,9 г, в Лесостепи – 130,2–207,8 г и 143,9–188,0 г в зоне Полесья. По результатам дисперсионного анализа было определено, что на массу 1000 семян наибольшее влияние имела зона выращивания – 31%, меньшее влияние оказывал сорт – 21% и условия вегетационного периода года – 13%. Основные показатели качества сои культурной – содержание сырого протеина и масла в семенах. Наибольшие значения содержания сырого протеина отмечено в зоне Лесостепи – 37,5–44,0%. В зоне Полесья содержание сырого протеина составило 34,4–41,7%, в зоне Степи – 35,4–40,1%. Максимальные значения этого показателя были отмечены у сорта ‘НС Дияна’ – 44,0% в зоне Лесостепи, в зоне Полесья – у сорта ‘Алекса’ – 41,7%, в степной зоне ‘НС Дияна’ – 40,1%. Таким образом, наибольшее влияние на содержания сырого протеина имел фактор зоны выращивания (31%) и сорт (25%), взаимодействие факторов сорта и зоны выращивания влияло на 17%. Содержание масла в среднем за 2017–2018 гг. составляло от 19,8 до 24,2%. Высокое содержание масла было отмечено у сорта ‘Адсой’ в зоне Полесья и Лесостепи – 24,2 и 22,6%, соответственно, а также у сорта ‘Азимут’ – 23,8% в степной зоне. По результатам дисперсионного анализа было определено, что на показатель содержания масла в семенах сои больше всего влияли зона выращивания на 25%, сорт – 21%, и взаимодействие факторов сорта и зоны выращивания на 21%.Выводы. Наибольшее влияние на исследуемые показатели имела зона выращивания. Определено, что доля влияния зоны выращивания сортов сои составляет 25–55% в зависимости от исследуемого показателя. Определено, что доля влияния сорта составляла 4–25%, условия вегетационного периода года влияли на 1–26%. | Мета. Найвищий вміст олії було відмічено у насінні сорту ‘Адсой’ в зоні Полісся та Лісостепу – 24,2 та 22,6%, відповідно, а також у сорту ‘Азимут’ – 23,8% в степовій зоні. Використання дисперсійного аналізу дозволило встановити, що на вміст олії в насінні сої найбільше впливали фактор зони вирощування – його вплив становив 25%, вклад фактору належності до певного сорту – 21%, взаємодія факторів «сорт» та «зона вирощування» впливала на 21%.Висновки. Найбільший вплив на досліджувані показники чинив фактор зони вирощування. Визначено, що частка впливу фактора зони вирощування сортів сої на показники врожайності, маси 1000 насінин, умісту сирого протеїну та олії, збору білка та олії з гектара становила 25–55%. Визначено, що частка впливу фактору сорту становила 4–25%, умови вегетаційного періоду року впливали на 1–26%.
