Assessment of agroclimatic conditions in 2012–2014 and their effect on formation of frost resistance and winter hardiness of soft winter wheat is made. Elevated temperature conditions in autumn and disturbance of cold hardening conditions caused the formation of the highest frost tolerance and winter hardiness of winter wheat only up to -15°C. Under the new climatic conditions the modern varieties of myronivska breeding are able to realize 80–85% of the genetic potential by the property.

A signifi cant infl uence of weather conditions during the years of study on the length of this indicator was determined. Response of studied corn test-crosses on growing conditions are described. Self-pollinated families DK22282111, DK28211111, DK21511111, DK20192321, DK26143111 were singled out which had a high tolerance to growing conditions and stable «sprouting–flowering of 50% of ears» period.

When creating Triticum aestivum L. varieties in V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat, intervarietal crossing was used as the basis for classical method of hybridization. Parental pairs were selected according to environmental and geographical principles. Crossing of lines selected by certain adaptive characteristics among themselves and with the local breeding varieties are widely used. The method of induced mutagenesis is one of the main factor of the evolutionary process which increases hundreds of times the frequency of altered forms occurrence. Thermal mutagenesis – selection of winter forms from spring varieties – is based on low temperature effect on spring wheat varieties (it was developed by V. M. Remeslo, the member of the Academy of Sciences). Method of intervarietal selection in winter wheat breeding provides creation of new varieties of this crop through mass selection of the best plants from local populations. At present, 10 varieties of winter wheat are included into the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Dissemination in Ukraine, one variety – into the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation, seven varieties are passing state quality testing in these countries.

The research of 122 breeding lines of winter wheat to adaptability have been carried out for three years at three points. Samples for ecological variety testing were determined which have both high and average stability and plasticity, high average yield and are promising for qualified examination. The environments are analyzed for differentiating ability. Environments were selected which allow to identify genotypes for yield potential and adaptive ability. It is established that the parameters of adaptive ability and stability of winter wheat samples obtained during cultivation both in various geographical locations and at one point during some years were closely correlated. This confirms the hypothesis that the genotype estimate for adaptive ability in one location is reliable. The connection level was average only for the variance of genotype–environment interaction. However, this parameter is not principal therefore this connection level does not restrict significantly the use of the method in general.

Наведено результати досліджень сприйнятливості колекційних зразків цибулі ріпчастої різного еколого-географічного походження до збудника пероноспорозу (Peronospora destructor Berk). Встановлено, що сорти та гібриди цибулі ріпчастої першого та другого року життя уражуються пероноспорозом. Ступінь розвитку хвороби залежав від інфекційного навантаження, вологості та температури повітря. Дослідження показали, що в середньому за три роки у колекційному розсаднику цибулі першого року життя поширення хвороби припадало на кінець вегетації залежно від зразка і становило 12,7–79,0%, а її розвиток сягав 8,0–61,7%. На насінниках (фаза зав’язування насіння) пероноспороз поширювався у межах 32,7–95,7%, а його розвиток на природно-провокаційному фоні становив 25,7–88,3%. Серед великої кількості вивчених зразків імунних проти хвороби не виявлено. Виділено форми, яким властива відносна польова стійкість проти хвороби, і які будуть використані в селекційних програмах створення нових сортів і гібридів.

The research of morho-agrobiological, yield related, adaptive properties and flexibility of soft winter wheat new varieties as listed in the State Register of Varieties in 2011-2012 has been completed. Types of requirements to the conditions of production, intensity level have been established, classification by plant height and maturity group completed. Among the recently listed varieties highly intensive and intensive varieties prevail, while there is a lack of flexible varieties that narrows the varietal diversity, atrophy of the ecological flexibility and adaptivity, as well as does not facilitate yield stability over the years. The highest productivity potential has been established The research of morhogrobiological, yield related, adaptive properties and flexibility of soft winter wheat new varieties as listed in the State Register of Varieties in 2011-2012 has been completed. The article highlights techniques for development of the range of varieties of new species of cutting lettuce Lactuca sativa: var. longifolia. It reflects the role of minor sub-species of romaine lettuce. Scientific rationale is given to peculiarities of key methods in the technology for growing marketable products of romaine lettuce in the open air. The method for identification adapted – morphological description of qualitative, quantitative and pseudo-qualitative characteristics of phenotype for cutting lettuce, as well as typical model of morpho-biological and economical parameters of new varieties of Romen lettuce for the purposes of official listing of varieties and rights herewith.

In this study, the mitogenomes of two Paxillus species were assembled, annotated and compared. The two mitogenomes of Paxillus involutus and P. rubicundulus comprised circular DNA molecules, with the size of 39,109 bp and 41,061 bp, respectively. Evolutionary analysis revealed that the nad4L gene had undergone strong positive selection in the two Paxillus species. In addition, 10.64 and 36.50% of the repetitive sequences were detected in the mitogenomes of P. involutus and P. rubicundulus, respectively, which might transfer between mitochondrial and nuclear genomes. Large-scale gene rearrangements and frequent intron gain/loss events were detected in 61 basidiomycete species, which revealed large variations in mitochondrial organization and size in Basidiomycota. In addition, the insertion sites of the basidiomycete introns were found to have a base preference. Phylogenetic analysis of the combined mitochondrial gene set gave identical and well-supported tree topologies, indicating that mitochondrial genes were reliable molecular markers for analyzing the phylogenetic relationships of Basidiomycota. This study is the first report on the mitogenomes of Paxillus, which will promote a better understanding of their contrasted ecological strategies, molecular evolution and phylogeny of these important ectomycorrhizal fungi and related basidiomycete species.
