The Flood control collection contains reports, articles, publications, correspondence, notes, photograph, audiovisual meterials, maps and data regarding the issue of flood control in the United States due to erosion, loss of forests, man-made dams, and storms. Most of the publications were produced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Soil Conservation Service, but the collection also includes articles written for professional meetings such as the American Society of Agricultural Engineers and the Society of American Foresters.
