Effects of Tapping Periods in Tapping Pine Resin with a Drill Method in Gunung Walat University Forest Sukabumi, West Java | Pengaruh Periode Pelukaan Pada Penyadapan Getah Pinus Dengan Metode Bor di Hutan Pendidikan Gunung Walat Kabupaten Sukabumi Jawa Barat

English. Along with the population increase, the demand for pine resin is also increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to find ways to increase the productivity of pine resin, such as improving tapping techniques. All this time, the tapping technique that is often used in Indonesia, particularly in Gunung Walat University Forest is the tapping technique of quarre method. However, this method still has many shortcomings not only in terms of resin productivity but also the sustainability of the trees and quality of the resin, especially when viewed from the dirt content. One of the improved tapping techniques is by using the drill method. This method gives many advantages such as high resin productivity, resin quality which is free from dirt and tap wounds so that pests and diseases can be minimized and the preservation of trees can be maintained. The use of stimulant ETRAT which has always been used so far is also very necessary as it serves to stimulate and smoothens the release of the resin. This research used four different treatments: treatment A with a period of 3 days without the addition of ETRAT, treatment B with a period of 3 days with the addition of ETRAT, treatment C with a period of 5 days with the addition of ETRAT, and treatment D with a period of 7 days with the addition of ETRAT. The tree samples for each treatment used 20 trees. The research result showed that the tapping period had a significant effect on the productivity of the average pine resin at 95% confidence interval (a = 0, 05). The average productivity was the highest in the treatment of 3-day-tapping period with the addition of ETRAT of 20.93 gram / drill / day and the lowest in the period of 7 days with the addition of ETRAT of 16.12 g / drill / day. Therefore, the optimal treatment that can be implemented at Gunung Walat University Forest is 3 days tapping period with ETRAT.

Turkish. Seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah penduduk, permintaan getah pinus pun semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan berbagai cara untuk meningkatkan produktivitas getah pinus tersebut, diantaranya adalah penyempurnaan teknik sadapan. Selama ini teknik penyadapan yang sering digunakan di Indonesia khususnya Hutan Pendidikan Gunung Walat adalah teknik penyadapan metode koakan. Metode ini masih memiliki banyak kekurangan baik dilihat dari segi produktivitas getah, kelestarian pohon dan kualitas getah terutama jika dilihat dari kadar kotorannya. Salah satu penyempurnaan teknik sadapan adalah dengan menggunakan metode bor. Metode ini banyak memberi keuntungan diantaranya hasil produktivitas getah yang tinggi, kualitas getah yang bersih dari kotoran dan luka sadap yang berukuran kecil sehingga dapat meminimalisir serangan hama dan penyakit dan kelestarian pohon dapat terjaga. Penggunaan stimulansia ETRAT yang selama ini telah digunakan juga sangat diperlukan karena berfungsi untuk merangsang dan memperlancar keluarnya getah. Penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan yang berbeda yaitu perlakuan A dengan periode pelukaan 3 hari tanpa diberi ETRAT, perlakuan B dengan periode pelukaan 3 hari diberi ETRAT, perlakuan C dengan periode pelukaan 5 hari diberi ETRAT dan perlakuan D dengan periode pelukaan 7 hari diberi ETRAT. Pohon contoh yang digunakan untuk setiap perlakuan adalah sebanyak 20 pohon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa periode pelukaan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap produktivitas rata-rata getah pinus pada selang kepercayaan 95% (α=0,05). Produktivitas rata-rata tertinggi pada perlakuan periode pelukaan 3 hari diberi ETRAT sebesar 20,93 gram/bor/hari dan produktivitas rata-rata terendah adalah pada periode pelukaan 7 hari diberi ETRAT sebesar 16,12 gram/bor/hari. Sehingga terpilih waktu periode pelukaan terbaik adalah 3 hari dengan diberi ETRAT.
