Russian. The article is dedicated to the effect of thinning of low moderately high and high intensity on ribbon cultures of Pinus sylvestris L. growing in the fresh pinewood forest type (type of forest site conditions A2). The research was conducted on the territory of Bastanskiy and Nikolaevskiy district forestries of the Klyuchevskiy forestry of Altai Krai in May 2022. The research is based on the method of sample areas and the method of reconstruction of the structure and growth of plantations. The article describes the forest crops under study, their location, taxation characteristics at the time of the research, as well as the reconstruction of taxation parameters at the time of thinning. Such parameters as the effective productivity of the stratum and its effective work are analyzed. Data on the number and stock of dead standing and fallen trees in the studied pine forests are given. It was found that during the observation period in the studied artificial pine stands, those passed thinning, accumulated a smaller stock of wood in comparison with the control version of the experiment. At the same time, the effective productivity of stratums of pine trees passed through thinning, insignificantly differs in comparison with the control variant of the experiment. Thinning artificial pine forests of the fresh pinewood forest type contributes to a decrease in the number and stock of fallen trees, but after thinning in the conditions under consideration rather actively accumulates deadwood. Based on the studies conducted in six- and seven-row ribbon pine crops, it is recommended to carry out thinning by selection on the bottom method; to start thinning in conditions of fresh pinewood at the end of the second or beginning of the third age class; to refuse thinning by linear-selective method with high intensity.
