A floristic survey of the Soignes forest part of the Brussels Region [Belgium]

From 1991 to 1994, the Brussels suburban part of the 4383 ha Soigne forest has been surveyed intensively for its flora, using the IFBL (Institut Floristique Belgo-Luxembourgeois) grid. For the 25 squares of 1 square Km, species richness, floristic composition and species relative frequency are discussed. Plant diversity of the Brussels part of the Soignes forest is compared with the diversity of the whole forest.
