Mead-Briggs (1992) proposed a laboratory method to evaluate the side effects of pesticides on Aphidius rhopalosiphi De Stefani-Perez (Hymenoptera, Aphidiidae), a parasitoid of cereals aphids. The influence of relative humidity (60/ and 85/), photoperiod (16h light and obscurity), storage temperature of mummies (2°C and 20°C) and the sensitivity of females and males was studied in this research. It appears from our results that the most important factor is relative humidity. Storage temperature of mummies is also important. Photoperiod during the assays and sex of parasitoids seem to have no influence on the sensitivity to phosalone.
