Since 1990, the "International Beet Library" - BIB (IRBAB/KBIVB, Tienen) is collecting, every month, references of national or international communications (currently 150/month) related to the sugar beet crop as well as the related agronomic or industrial topics. These references correspond to scientific publications, technical papers or extension documents. They also correspond to proceeding reports, annual reports, working notes and various published works. The presented references are ordered according to the following themes: cropping techniques of the sugar beet; genetics, biotechnology and breeding; biology and physiology; crop protection; soil and fertilization; economy and sugar policy; by-products of the sugar industry and environment. The databank of the " International Beet Library " allows to do all kind of bibliographic research on the set of the references collected since 1990. This research can be done according to keywords (more of 3,000), author's name (more than 19,000), year of publication of the document, language and/or on basis of different combinations. This databank can be consulted by the institutions that participate in the financing of the "International Beet Library". All the listed documents can be consulted at the IRBAB library.
