Show more [+] Less [-]NSRP Report 02931 describes the development of a computer program that provides a shipyard with integrated schedules for developing the drawings and for ordering the equipment necessary for a shipbuilding program. The program integrates these schedules with one another and with the block erection schedule that controls the construction process. This document describes how to use the application program to generate each required schedule. Integrated means not only that the schedules which are generated by the program take into account all of the interrelationships between the several steps involved in the drawing development process and the many steps involved in the equipment procurement process, but also means that these schedules ensure that the appropriate drawings, equipment information and equipment are available inadequate time to support each element in the construction planning and implementation process. The program can also be used to produce the schedule for constructing and erecting blocks, if that data is not available through other means for entry into the program.
