シビレエイ | しびれえい

本種は、本州中部以南の沿岸各所に分布し、長崎県下でも各地で底曳網、定置網、いそ刺網などの各種の漁具で普通に漁獲されているがその数は少なく、食用にもしていない。長崎市茂木港を根拠にして千々石湾で操業する小型底曳網ではかなりの数のシビレエイがとれている。シビレエイは、体かほぼ円形で柔らかく、胸鰭基部の皮下に大きな発電器を備えている。
