Show more [+] Less [-]This research focuses on the understanding of feasibility and reliability of deterministic reconstruction and (short-time) forecasting of realistic ocean wavefield evolution using phase-resolved wavefield simulations together with radar-sensed wave data. Direct comparisons between the reconstructed and forecasted wavefields are obtained. The validity, efficacy and limitation of the overall approach are evaluated and quantified.
