Research on quantitative genetics on salmonids in Norway.

Studies on quantitative genetics in aquaculture are carried outby two institutions in Norway. The main purpose of these studiesis to form the basis of a strategy fo:.t· genetic improvement of salrnonidsfor fish farming. In the present report an account of the experimentsis given, including aim of the studies, size of experiments, preliminaryresults and future objectives. All experiments are carriedout on salmonids.
