Correlation of soil tests for available phosphorus with crop yield.
1968
Halm, A.T., soil Research Institute, Ghana
Six chemical methods for phosphorus soil tests were studied. There were certain significant correlations between phosphorus determined by the various extractants and field crop responses. Bray's P2 and Olson methods were found suitable for soil phosphorus tests in specific areas. Responses of the test crop (maize) to phosphorus were highly significant at certain initial phosphorus levels in soils at each area studied.
