Cultivation of forest grasses and legumes zone of Ghana

In this paper I have tried to show the need for a concerted effort to obtain the basic data required for th e utilization of grasses and legumes in the development of suitable systems of permanent land-use in the forest region of Ghana. From our work in this field, I have presented some figures on yield (quantity and quality), which we have so far been able to obtain from our best grassses and grass legume combinations. In doing so, I have touched on some of the many specialist problems which have to be solved.
