Movement and distribution of fertilizer nitrogen as affected by depth of placement in wetland rice [study conducted in the Philippines]
1982
Obcemia, W.N.
Experiments were conducted to monitor the movement and distribution of NH4+-N following placement of urea and ammonium sulfate super granules. Results on nitrogen uptake indicate that substantially greater percentage of plant N was derived from 15N-depleted fertilizer when deep-placed in the reduced soil layer than when applied in split doses. The general movement of NH4+-N after deep-placement of the ammonium sulfate super granules was downward lateralupward from the placement site
